My Honda Worshipping Buddy Has Threatened My C36!!!
Back on topic:
IMHO, you'll be able to smoke this RX7 or Prelude stock for stock.
There's a guy in this forum who has advocated all along that you can have
all the power coming out of your engine but somehow you need to have the
tires planted well on the ground to receive all those power without swerving left and right. I think this means that you need to have the right suspension, great tire with proper pressure. I believe the C36 has a great suspension already.
Good luck. Let us know the result if you decided to race this guy. (on the track of course)

People have raced both 202 AMG's side by side,, and equal all the way it was. When a C36 does 5.5-5.6 0-60, and the 5.5L does it in 5.1-5.2!? I really don't see where your going with this....
I think its called stubbornness!
Heck you won't even be able to reach 20 mph with that thing KISSING the ground like that anyways....
Any form of racing.....name it. It all comes down to the driver. And im sure uve seen that video of a c43 drifting on youtube.
Went to laguna seca with my friend the other day with his E55 amg(stock airmatic suspension, stock engine)
Was keeping up with an audi a4 with rcomps, brake update, and prolly engine mods coz we couldn't catch up on the straights.
Uploading video too
Wish our roads were any good, even on a brand new set of Potenzas, i have trouble making use of my first as it spins away.
I will upload a vid soon so u can see what i mean, and hopefully the vid would also show the symptoms that happen to my car after some high speed drift.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
. This way a normally 5 hour spring job takes 2 in my driveway. I'll also rent it out to you guys cheap as well.
I was hoping another used one would pop up for sale on one of the forums. Littlereds gonna be sexy.

I may be able to help you out if your talking about scratching fenders due to potential rubbing? I'm also in the process of fabricating a fender roller. A custom homebrew fender roller to be exact as I absolutley refuse to spend $500 for a tool that is so simple.
Picked up some heavy walled rectangular and square tubing. To mount the roller I'm going to use rotors. I chopped two of my old rotors from the 300E so all that was left was the 5 lug holes then I popped them on my bridgeport milling machine to smooth them out so they are just disks with 5 lugs, I'll tig them together for a solid very strong mount to the hub.
The rectangular arms will be welded and attached by a grade 8 steel pivot. This way various angles and lengths can be adjusted to compensate for different setups. I just need to figure out a pivoting screw setup that will extend the arm outwards and roll the fenders while angling. Good thing is, this will be an excuse to use the Herbert turret lathe hidden away in the back of my garage.
Also currently working on adapting my third brakelight to an ULTRA bright array of red leds, as my bulb holder is gone and I don't feel like going through the headache of sourcing one. Better in the long run as these leds will be blindingly hard not to notice, beneficial knowing I've almost been rear ended ten times in this past year from idiot ditz's texting in there (F)(U)(C)(K)n' SUV's.
Ohhh and btw, since your so close when I do get the compressor and finish my roller your welcome to borrow them anytime. Figure this summer when we do a meet or somthing I'll just hand them off to you so you can do your magic in a leisurely manner
.
glad we ALL have a sense of humor. In the end we all have to admit there is or will be someone who is faster than you.....even you v0ac haha, I kid, I kid. Now I'm having difficulties setting up this drag.....talk is sooooo cheap!
C43s don't have LSD either
So whats the problem here, lack of LSD or manual tranny???
Watch the bible video with the drift king. He explains that there is no car that's not driftable
You should smoke him though, I beat the crap out of a brand new Civic Si the other day from a dig
haha yeah a professional drifter can... but a C36 doesnt have the power for an ordinary person to drift. Also notice the guys is going like 50. I just find cars with no LSD or manny tranny any fun. I loved my C36, but it was a looker and just not as fun. My first stock 86 16V was more of a thrill than the C36, even being much slower. C36 engines in 201s are insane (friend took my engine and matched it with my getrag in his 201 with an old school amg kit) and thats a fun true drivers AMG. Thus the MA take over of the 201 scene with a 3.6 powered 201 and my 2 boosted Cosworths. Ill be auto-Xing them this summer too so ill have some cute little sideways pictures to post

Im not defensive, I wasnt defending my car, I was proving you wrong when u said that its not possible to drift a c36 coz it had an automatic tranny

unfortunately its very hard these days to get hold of a clean one.
As for drifting well even on a high grip road, just perfect ur late braking so that the front gets properly loaded on corner entry, and any car will drift (almost any car) but u cant say that 280hp and almost 290LBft (220 of which are on 1500RPM) are not enough to drift a car. I agree that they might not be enough to power slide out of a corner when the rear end is properly loaded, but that’s not drifting.
edit:
Sorry if that sounded like im lecturing, didnt mean it that way
