Finally, A Good Flyby Video :)

Some of you may remember the exhaust mod thread from a while back, had a few requests for a WOT flyby video. Posted a ****ty one a few weeks ago, but here's a good one:

Enjoy, sounds best on headphones

I agree, sounds great especially if you have QC15 noise canceling headset.

Wicked flyby sound....Clear for take-off

What do you have in that thing?

aren't you scared smokey's waiting for ya around da corner?
You should have deleted the zipcode shown in the picture!

How many are you in when speeding that fast?
I couldn't hear the growl from the tubes perfect!

Does C43 suffer the same when driving that fast?

The growl can it only be heard at low rpm's on both cars?

Thanks man, It's a resonator delete with a delta 10 race muffler. Car has stock cats, stock mids, and stock exhaust manifolds.

Eventually it's going to have some stainless headers, bigger mid pipes, and a 200 cell race cat

Nah, we drove up and down the road a few times before making the video. It's literally out in the middle of nowhere, I didn't see a single other car on the road the whole time.

And that's not the zipcode, it's that street address of that farm

Not too sure what you mean...do you mean how fast was I going? Around 120 the first pass, 110ish the second.

Yeah it's just a cell phone camera, so the sound's not perfect, but it's definitely better than before! Not sure about the C43...never driven one!

My car's fairly throaty at low revs but as you rev it further it morphs into that distinctive, and somewhat haunting, straight six scream. V8's sound nice, but man I love me a good I-6

hehe, it's cool
the first pass I was in 4th gear at around 120mph...so engine revs were lower-about 5000 RPMs

The second pass was at the very top of 3rd gear...about 6000 RPMs passing the camera, you can hear me keep accelerating to 6500 RPM and then shifting into 4th after passing the camera

Thanks man, she's still a work in progress, but things are steadily moving in the right direction

The exhaust thread can be found here:

https://mbworld.org/forums/c36-amg-c...6-exhaust.html

Also if anyone's interested, here's another recent exhaust video. Some revs and a little acceleration. Just sort of rolled into the throttle through 1st gear. Lots of buildings and walls around the car so you get some cool reverberation
