No U joints or CV joints on the drive shaft. They are called "flex discs" and MUST be changed if they are cracked or showing threads. Don't mess around. Change them!

I read through this whole thread, wish I knew where the "u joints" are in a C43. Still unsure if he was talking about the flex disc? Inner or outer CV joints in the rear? I'm confused!

Can't speak to the c43 but the c36 has a single u-joint attaching the forward splined shaft that goes through the carrier bearing.
