Will W211 E55 AMG wheels fit on C36?

Hi All,

First of all, love the forums. Been a lurker here for a while, but will finally get into a W211 E55 AMG.

I plan on ditching the stock E55 AMG wheels and placing them on a C36. DO any of you guys know if the the E55 wheels and offset are a direct fitment to the C36 AMG. The stock tires on the C36 are 225/45 17 up front and 245/40 17 in the rear. The stock tires on the E55 are 245/45 18 front and 265/40 18 in the rear. Just looking at the side wall profile it does not look like I can use the same rubber, but if I change the tires out to 225/40 18 front and 255/35 18 rear will the E55 rims fit the C36?

Thanks for all your input.

The tires sound fine, what are the offsets of those wheels?

Thanks for the response, but do you mean the current tire setup of 245/45 18 front and 265/40 18 rear or the need to downsize to 225/40 18 front and 255/35 18 rear?

Here are the stock wheel offsets I'm trying to get on the C36:
W211E55 has 18X8et35 fronts and 18X9et42 rears

Thanks again for the input.

the 225/40 and 255/35 should be fine tire wise

those wheels sound like they'll fit fine.

if anything you might need spacers for the rear because a +42 will sit in more than stock

im running W210 E55 18" Monoblock II's and theyre 18x8 +31 and 18x9 +35 and they fit fine with the same tire sizes i mentioned above

hope that helps. you know how it is with wheels. sometimes it's trial and error, you can always sell them. if they don't work for you, they'll work for someone.

I'm looking to do the same with some W211 E55 Wheels, but the seller says they measure:
18" x 9" ET 30 - Front
18" x 8" ET 39 - Rear

Does anyone know if these will work?

I think you have the front and rears mixed up buddy.

18x8 ET 39 sound like fronts

18x9 ET 30 sound like rears

In which case the rears should fit just fine, although you might need a 5mm spacer in the front.

you're right, mixed up the offsets. dope, so they should fit!! I just called another wheel shop, first one I called said they wouldn't recommend it, but The Wheel Supply said they'll fit fine and they might have to roll my front fenders.

They fit! I'm running 18x9 + 30 rear and 18x8 +35 fronts 225/40/18 and 255/35/18 rears and I still have room if i wanted to do +25 on the rear and +30 on the front with rolled fenders.

I actually spent about a week testing different sizes and offsets.

This is what you can fit with rolled fenders and the right tires. These are mildly aggressive fitments.

Front:
17x8 et22
18x8 et28
18x8.5 et 30
18x9 et35

Rear:
17x9 et15
18x9 et22
18x9.5 et28-30
18x10 et35
