I've been meaning to post this for a while....

Nice car man! haha I was in my Grey w124 500e. We both pulled into that little shopping center on the corner of Grove and Day creek. I had to run into Buffalo Wings and Rings, and by the time I got back out, you had already left your car. I drove by on my way out to take a look. you should come to the next drag day at Fontana 7/17. There's another C43 that goes too, and a couple misc MB's.

Too bad we couldn't line up, I'm sure you would have gone!

Dude, it wasn't me, but on an off topic note, I have to say that when I was searching for Carlsson wheels, the photos of your car came up a lot. And they convinced me to go snag a set for myself...

Haha if you're asking because of the ET in my sig, I didn't have much at the time engine-related. The time was mostly because of a nice cold day. I have a home brew ASR defeat, so that helps to warm up the tires for a good launch. I had a chip at the time, which is said to have zero gain on the 500e. I bought it for it's upshift delay and speed limiter delete.

I have since installed a set of K&N's, purchased a 100-125 shot bergwergs nitrous kit, and rebuilt the tranny to SL600 specs to handle the torque. I'm hoping to run high 12's next month.

As far as cosmetic upgrades, I have those Carlsson 1/6 Evo's you see in 19"x 8.5"F and 10"R. Tires are 235/45 and 275/30 Dunlop S-Sport. H&R sports, and that advantguarde grill which I plan to replace with stock eventually.

Tell me about yours man! C43's are the *****

500Es are the *****! Any car that has bespoke engine and fenders and visits more than one assembly line before it reaches the dealership is awesome. When I saw the Carlssons on your car, the shape is similar enough to the 202 that I knew they would look good on my C43.

I believe Jumph4x has a C36, but my C43 is stock, just freshly painted. Vogtland springs are in a box in the garage awaiting motivation and time...and a few other accompanying suspension pieces...

Justin sup man? Still rocking the 500E I see . Would have stuck around the W124 forums but a 500E was just not plausible at the time. Good to see yet another 500E saved from the depths though, last time I heard from you, you where still touching up the little things on her. Seems like a lot has been going on to get it where it is now!!!

Hey Ben! Yup, I think the 500e will be the first car I actually complete, though it may still be a while. Next in line after the N20 gets put on will be a set of RennTech/Brembo 355mm Front, 330mm rear brakes. Then a little suspension work/upgrading; RDMTEK Shortened LCA's, RDMTEK Front strut mounts, then a little interior and body work and I'm done!

I'll always be tweaking little stuff, like maybe Euro Plates, an AMG ducktail, maybe some LM's, misc interior pieces (like some CF!) but for the most part, I will be able to call the car complete.

As for the C43 at the races, my mistake, it is actually a C36. The guy's name is Brent (iregretnothing) and he lives in Redondo Beach. Doesn't post here, but will respond to PM's.

Are you coming to the races pinoc? :-D

500E is sick!!!! I found a 1992 a little while back for $4000 it had a salvaged title but it was because the guy who owned it side swiped something and had to replace both doors on one side, the guy had pics of all the damage but I really don't buy cars with salvaged titles. I wish I had swooped it up but at the time I didn't know much about them.... Still kicking myself in the A$$ for that one.
