Rear seat anti sqeak kit??
I have read on the internet that there is a rear seat anti squeak kit for the C43 (and other C class). What does this kit consist of and where can I get one?? My rear seats squeak when I pull out of my drive way at an angle. I can only assume this is from a less than rigid frame?

Driving with 18 inch lowprofile tires on bad tarmac gives the sh-- in the cabin.
I think the kit is a lube that mechanic greases the fasteners on back of the folding rear seat, and I also have an soundproof carpet under the sitting cushion!
If you remove your rear sitting cushion, check if you have a MB blanket cover under the seat.
This part should kill noise.
I dunno what else MB did with the noise kit?

Now, I can at last say I have the SAME problem in the rear seat area, but not so much a squeak as more a rattle. Could a good leather polish lubricate and get the leather more supple and less squeaky

I don't have any squeeks from rear part of my car!
The only rattle I get is if I have forgotten to push the backseat so it locks in place on bracket part.
Try to tighten the bottom nuts on folding rear backseat, they might be lose?
Maybe the latches that unlocks backseat, those wires might have slacken and are not tight and needs to be adjusted?
This is the only thing I can come up with for now.
Also if you try to grease some leather lotion on your backseat and the leather will be softer, maybe the noise will go away?
Remember these cars have stiff suspension.
Rattle and noize will be heard inside our cars!
Kill the noize with soundproof material and you will be good.
But this is a big operation!

Good idea and that reminds me that I should also do all the rubber joints: doors, trunk, hood, etc. Keeps them supple and in winter they don't freeze up

Which do you speak?? I am assuming the former of the 2 but I know about 25% of Switzerland speaks the latter.
I have ALWAYS wanted to visit Switzerland, such a beautiful country. Is it true all men must do a six-month basic training when they're about 19, and about two weeks a year follow-up assignments until they're 33 or so

but I will answer with pleasure. I speak French as I am in that part of Switzerland. Speak a bit of italian, german, NO swiss german and english as I was educated from kindergarten thru university in english. It is true that all males have to go through 4--6 months military basic training and continue for a couple of weeks per year. When I was that age, it was 4 months basic training, followed by 8 x 3 weeks refresher courses until age 32, then 3 x 3 weeks between 32 and 40, then 1 x 2 weeks between 40 and 50. After you are considered too old Did manage to keep my automatic rifle though upon completion of my military obligations. Some talks now to abolish these military obligations soon.

It is off topic but I thought I would ask. You guys have the lowest crime in the world and I believe it can be attributed to the fact that all of the males are well versed in the usage of automatic rifles and such. Who wants to go break into a house when you know the guy has a gun and trains REGULARLY on how to use it I have always loved switzerland and have even told my wife I would LOVE to retire there but from what I have been told it is HARD to gain citizenship. Anyways I am way off topic and I apologize

Well, in most cases they ask to be exempted and the requests are accepted. I can imagine that there are also medical specialists on hand to aid in the necessary decisions. FWI women here can also undergo the military basic training with firearms too...

Drives ya nuts! The squeek is more than likely from the small little rubber bumpers on the latch in the seat. The metal u-shaped thing on the back of the seat that locks into the latch, rubs on the rubber bumpers. Put a bit of vaseline on both sides and I'll bet the squeek will be no more. Another problem I've had is that the clips on the wiring loom for the speakers have come loose and the harness vibrates in the gap. Remove the first-aid kit box and check that the white cable holders are in their holes.

I get some speaker rattle with certain bass notes. Could it also be some loose wires or clips? Havn't checked yet as I rarely listen to music in the car and prefer listening to the purring of the big V8 cat instead

there was only some grease applied to those latches, sometimes i can hear a squeek but it's rare it happens.
about rattle and vibrate from loud music play, if you have to much bass on the stereo and you play loud, rear hatrack will rattle.
when it comes to HIFI then you have kill all the noize in the car with special stuff and make sure every part is bolted tight to reduce noize

Thanks for the tip, but I will continue listening to the engine and also the radio from time to time just to listen where the traffic jams are in order to avoid them when possible and if an atomic bomb hasn't exploded on my house
