Yes.
Yes. I haven't looked at 210 E55 to answer definitively, but why not just transfer your stuff over if they are different.

then engine being fitted in the car as it is?
maybe oilpan was swapped between engines if E55 oilpan touched the swaybar?
did ML55 have different design for oilpump and sump compared between ML55 an E55 engines?
maybe E55 engine has same type parts like c43?

didn't some people just take the wireloom, throttlebody, starter, alternator from c43amg and put these parts on E55 engine.

If you have access to the EPC, it is pretty easy to figure out. I can verify that the W220 S55 engine does require an oil pump and oil pan swap. Would not be surprised if the ML55 does too, but I don't know for sure.

W208/W210 are plug and Play.
All others have Mc Pherson front axle and so they have different oil pan with deep area infront and rear of the axle. For that the pump is fittet with double inlet. But C43 pump and oil pan are plug and Play again.
For W209 (and maybe all others with Mc Pherson) engine I can tell you it has only water inlet on the engine head. Water outlet that is connected to the heating system is closed with a blind plug. I don't know how heating system and colling of the engine works an that engine, because if there is only inlet without outlet, there is no circulatation, but to make it working for C43 you Need to drill out the blind plug and replace with a hose fitting (MB spare part).
Normally you should find all these information in this thread already.

Dang 6 times?
Im looking at two motors. One is 113k and the other is 135k. The 113k one has a oil filter housing leak as well as another oil leak from the front. Im not so worried because these are cheap easy fixes but it tells me the owner didnt care much to fix them which tells me they didnt take good care of their engine. Also the oil filter is a cheap chinese one. Should i be concerned?
the 135k one tested out perfect and the guy says it was out of a well cared for amg
Im looking to purchase an engine this weekend probably

Congrats on the 5.4 man!
If you weren't aware the bolts holding the engine mount arms to the block are one use torque to yield,I was surprised..
Wouldn't mind a few pics of the C36 6 speed install!

Its funny you mention the engine mount arms because one of them is missing a bolt.
Btw this motor is from a 2002 ml55 and its got 113k. Its the best i could find in my area. I had to go for it coz my 4.3 is ticking so bad and i think even the timing chain is grinding
For now i cant do any extra mods but eventually id love to try and see if a c63 muffler can be mounted before i chip tune the car

Febi/Bilstein made in China is not good anymore
don't fogget to check belt tensioner, idler pulley and harmonic balancer.
these parts creates nasty damage if and when they break down
are you replacing timing chain?
