Yep damaged piston. 100k miles but its cheap, I'm open to offers. The engine is complete less ecu and accessories. It comes with wiring harness, coil packs, wires, intake manifold, throttle body, injectors, fuel rails, exhaust manifolds, etc. Shipping to a commercial address is really reasonable

Its been a long road, had a motor go in already that shouldn't have...didn't run...lost interest and went back to school. Can't look at it anymore and its coming back out and the right one is going in. Pics to follow.

This thread is for the 5.5na swap. All you need to do is drop it in and turn the key as long as the donor car was a w210 e55 or 208 CLK55. With the 55k motor, its a whole other ball game $$$. With a simple 5.5na swap you can get the whole thing done and running great for 2.5-10k depending on the condition of the motor you choose and if you do the drop in work your self. I'll be looking for a 5.5na to swap in about three years from now.

if anyone ends up doing this swap and selling their 4.3 I'd be interested depending on mileage. Or if you find an extra 5.5, let me know. I really should be getting rid of my C280, but the allure of swapping in the V8 and turning it into a track car really appeals to me.

Look on ebay for a C43 motor or a 55 motor... There are plenty of each.

Oh and I want to add my .02 about trying to buy a supercharged E55 engine for $4k. Not likely. If you want one with a warranty they will be more. Also I searched high and low and called for weeks to endless junk yards and used engine websites only to find the old tried and true bait and switch method. They were quoting na e55 engines for $4k, when you actually call to buy one they tell you the price is $11k. I challenge someone to actually purchase a good supercharged e55 engine for $4k
