For the true carbon fiber junky

Made by a company called Carbon Revolution, unfortunately these will not fit our W202 AMG's without some SERIOUS fender rolling and such (if you could even get them to fit.....) This is promising though as I am sure they will be coming out with some smaller sizes in the future which would fit our W202's but for the cost of an arm and a leg I am sure.
Here is the website of the company where you can get the specs:

"Raw and rude, the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento showcases the Italian sports car company’s use of carbon fiber. This raucously edgy sports car employs a new type of the lightweight material for its central tub called “forged composite.” Lamborghini has rights to the name and a hoard of patents related to this new material.
Rather than being layered, like traditional carbon fiber, chopped fiber is put into a stamp and (according to Lamborghini officials) the finished chassis tub is complete in only eight minutes. The entire car weighs 2200 lb. It even has carbon-fiber wheels.
A V-10 engine and permanent all-wheel-drive are borrowed from the Gallardo. In terms of overall proportions, the Sesto Elemento has more in common with the “baby Lambo” than the company’s larger, range-topping Murciélago. Lamborghini did coyly tell us it would consider building the Sesto Elemento—strictly a concept car at this writing—so long as the potential owner had deep enough pockets to foot the bill."
V-10 with all wheel drive and 2,200 lbs. !!!!! Talk about a road rocket

What's next, carbon fiber bell housings for tranny's?
For those that don’t know what collar stays are, here’s a little background. Most dress shirt collar have little pockets on the underside of the collar, and many times come with plastic collar stays when you buy the shirt. They help keep the collar stiff and crisp for a clean look. Plastic ones are cheap, flexible, and they can melt if you forget to take them out when ironing. High-end collar stays are typically made out of materials like stainless steel or titanium. What if you travel a lot, or you’re a lawyer that has to go through metal detectors in court? That could be a pain having to remove them every time. That’s where carbon fiber steps in to save the day. Since carbon fiber has no metal, these will not get detected by metal detectors, saving you a lot of time and hassle. Not to mention they’re extremely light.

Also, the ECU compartment cover is also getting a CF cover as well. It's such a large flat piece, so perfect for that 2x2 twill

Here are some photos, the first couple are from the dubai auto show:

Unreal car with some UNREAL rims

A Japanese company by the name of Weds Sport has come up with the first full carbon fiber wheel. They unveiled the wheels with what they call their Dry Carbon Wheel Project at the last Tokyo Auto Salon show.

I tried to get somebody to translate the Japanese from the above display at Tokyo Auto Salon, but this was the best I got from user fithamoto on the Nissan 350Z forums:
Sorry, really not much help after all. I guess your gonna need to get a first gen. Japanese to translate it correctly.
Weds Sport’s display also featured a wheel with a carbon fiber face, but more than likely a forged aluminum wheel surrounding. This is probably a much cheaper solution, and potentially arguably better looks.

There is another company by the name of Dymag that makes carbon fiber wheels (which we’ll cover in a future post), but their hub is made out of magnesium. Apparently this is for strength reasons, which makes me think these fully carbon fiber rims should only be used for show cars. I’d like to hear Weds Sport’s thoughts on this.
