Talking I got my self a new AMG hood badge

I got this flat AMG badge today.
It's made of enamel material and all details are engraved like on a coin.
This item is real cool.
A longtime OOS part.

I already have one on my hood, this one is just an extra for insurance if something happens to my other one.
It's an awesome part.

I'd be much more happy for you if you were a little more open with details about how others might purchase one for themselves, even if it's "sorry, no more left." As it is, your post sounds like this:

"i got ice cream, and you didn't"

other people like ice cream, too.

disclaimer: I don't want one. it looks great, but it's way too colorful for a dignified S55

I've been also thinking about installing the AMG logo too, but my heart is split between the Star and the flat badge. The Star is the MB symbol and even if AMG upgraded the car it is still a MB product to start with. Not like Porsche and RUF. RUF is considered an auto manufacturer just like Porsche is and the products are the same (upgraded) or totally different from one to another.
If I wanted a flat badge then I would probably go for the MB crest badge.
Just my 2cents worth

Agreed... I think AMG badge is too busy, too much color and too many designs. The black and white ones looks a little bit better but if I was going to a flat badge I would do the MB logo as well.

I'm sorry if you misundestood it like that.
it was never my intention to hurt your feelings!
I have an ice cream you don't!
what is dat?
Child's play?
When you got something new for your car and write about it on the forum, do you share a picture or not?
That's up to you?
Many people buy their flat badges of Fleabay.
These are not so good, knock off's from Asia, I have one too and I don't like it at all!
This badge I got today is a million times better!
I just wanted to share my picture of what I got.
Maybe I should stop doing that and not participate to make a cool forum better!

Like I said item is OOS!
Longtime ago.
You can't buy it!
Therefore it doesn't matter if I write where I got it from since you can't buy it anywhere!
No shops selling it.
I got it from a friend, I didn't buy it.

I love people who likes to misunderstand everything.
It reveals the way they think!

So I have come to a conclusion to remove my 2 pictures not to offend anyone by bragging about it if that's what people think?
So it means this topic is now useless!

it looks to be the same badge.
I see the engraved details.
I think this badge was made in the US long time ago?
Maybe they are still sold today who knows, I haven't found any webshops having it in stock?

on an automobile forum it ain't fun reading stuff like, my dad is better than your diddy coz he makes more money than your dad and he drives a better car than your daddy.
this is child's play!

on a forum it's about asking questions, sharing ideas, thoughts, troubleshooting problems and sharing pictures.
if you can't write anything nice than do not reply!

I forgive you I am not holding a grudge against you.

Here are some other badges that look decent:
https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...ack-stock.html

I kinda like this one but it is a stick on and I would rather have the replacement type like the ones in the thread above:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Merce...Q5fAccessories

I like this one but again it isn't a stock fitment I have to have some wierd wing nut to hold it in place:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Merce...Q5fAccessories

first 2 I don't know, they look kinda weird,
especially the the one with the AMG logo, capital letters don't look any good on that badge.
2nd one with the star looks better but not 100% ok to me.

no 2 fleabay badge looks good in grey.

no 3 fleabay badge, I have one like this, scheize crap!
I don't like it!

What about a three star emblem with the florals going up the side? That would look really classy! I'd go with a simplistic flat badge with a black background, silver outlined edge, and silver AMG logo in the middle/center.

I have this badge, the "wing" holds it just fine. Hasnt moved since being installed, only thing I hear the sun will wear it out with due time. For now, looks great.

like providing links or other related info rather than "i got mine" posts? You pop on here and tell us you just obtained a "real cool" "longtime OOS part", then think it's rude of me to ask that you mention how others might be able to also obtain the same "real cool" "longtime OOS part"? Hypocrisy, anyone?

you're not my mom!

ouch
yeah it hurts getting slapped on the head over and over.

longtime OOS,
I saw this badge on ebay 6 years ago, I guess it's a long time now?
noone selling those now, I believe they are OOS?
I hope I'm wrong.

And yes that badge is cooler than present fleabay crap with 3M adhesive stickers.
I know so, I have one of those too!
JUNK.

your comment on, I got ice cream you don't, sounded the same as your daddy got a better car than your friends daddy and you're rubbing it in the face of your buddy.
isn't that a child's play comment?

YOU POP ON HERE like you have a cool item.
Maybe you should ***** like that to everyone here on the forum that writes and shares pictures of their new stuff for their car!
Yeah, talk about hypocrasy dude!

You are not my mom?
Yeah, I am not your father either!
Maybe BORAT is your father?

yeah I like Borat from Kazakstan he's cool, but I don't like that dude making childish comments.
it doesn't belong on a forum.
if a person desn't have anything good to say it's better to be quiet.

I removed my pics because I don' want any A-hole comments from people like him.
It's other peoples loss because of this type of peepol.

Yes that's the one I saw (first link). The more I think about it, I'll probably leave the Star. Surprisingly, with all my MB's (3 to date, but I keep them for at least 10 years to get a good ROI), no souvenir hunters or "fetishists" have nicked the Star. I know in certain areas, it is better to have a flat badge. Stops getting to replace the Star every month or so

Suppose I've gotten very lucky or don't live in a bad area, never had any issues with stars on the past 4 Mercs I've had over a 6 year period. FINGERS CROSSED!

Yeah I was thinking the same thing, karma is a b1tch... If I do get my star stolen I'll take it as a sign that the AMG gods wanted me to get a flat hood badge
