C43 front bumper brackets

Would brackets of a regular 202 work for our cars????

I need mine replaced in the front. Car got clipped while I was in class and my bumper was hanging almost half way down. ***** ran away didn't even leave a note

I don't have a good answer but I have looked at several C43s with misaligned bumpers. Are there brackets at the corners to support the cover that get bent?

I would think that all the bumber attachments would be the same for all W202 models, but I stand to be corrected

The bumper brackets are attached to the bumper reinforcement, you will need a new one. Yes it is the same for all W202's but you might need to alter it a bit to fit the C43 bumper skin. From the dealer it's around $200 and it a fairly easy swap.

I thought the bumper holders/sliders were bolted to the rebar?? I found replacement ones for about $11-14 per side. I need a new one on my drivers side as well.

Guess prices went up a little bit.. $12-25

You are correct about the bumper brackets. I was referring to the piece that holds it onto the brackets themselves. I would imagine that this is the piece that is damaged and needs to be replaced. I pulled my bumper off to realign it and noticed mine were cracked, apparently this is a common issue.

Oh okay, I gotcha now. Is it something that's been riveted or "built into" the bumper cover? (I haven't had my bumpers off yet to know one way or the other..)

If you pull your bumper off you can see it is connected by a large piece of polymer (plastic) that is clipped to the bumper skin. On this piece are the brackets that slide onto the bumper brackets you are talking about. The brackets on this piece are the ones I speak of, it is common for them to crack over the years allowing your bumper side to "flare" out to the sides.

I figured that's what you were talking about...the typical German bumper setup.
