Timing Chain Replacement C43?
Can this be done through the top like an old 380SL or do you have to pull apart the front of the engine?
Thanks in advance for any help

Simple job, replace the tensioner while you're there. You can feed in a new chain like on a 380. Remove both rocker covers to do it, on a v6 the balancer shaft must also be aligned, not an issue on the v8's though.

Thanks guys, I am not worried about failure, but it is starting to make some noise at idle, so wanted to replace.
