Are the bulbs under our D2R's (C43 HID's) city lights or the headlight fogs?? When doing my HID fogs and 55w HID conversion this weekend, I noticed that there were H1's (seem to be over-kill for city lights) under the D2R's but wasn't able to get them working...any special trick to this? (yes, the bulbs are good -haha)

That's kind of what I was figuring, just a little confused why they'd be wired up with bulbs and all and not work... hmm..

OK, I'm a little confused (again)...are the in-headlamp-housing foglight bulbs (C36-only feature) the same as the lower apron foglight bulbs? If not, how do they differ? I know one of the two is an H1, I just don't know which? The owner's manual doesn't clarify this at all, aaargh!!
For C36: The in-headlight fogs and the apron fogs (first pull and second pull on the headlight knob, respectively) are both H3 bulbs. The apron ones are in a "sealed" housing (a.k.a you have to open the rubber gasket to get to them) and the headlight ones are just sitting in the inside corners of the headlight housings behind the cover. At least, that is how it is all set up on my 95'.
I love how there are such advanced topics like swapping 43 to 55 engines, suspension geometrics, and all sorts of other confusing and sophisticated topics on this forum but so much confusion over the differences in lighting between the 36 and 43

But anyway, I'll go actually pull the bulbs out myself and confirm (probably should have just done this first before starting this thread ).
