Kill: 350z vs Me

Tonight I was headed home in Mexico on 635 and minding my own business in the fast lane on the highway, when a car came flying up behind me with HID and led running lights a blaze. I didn't know what it was until he was on my a$$ and went to pass by. I gave chase by dropping into 3rd and hitting the peddle to the floor, he couldn't pass me. So I backed off to about 80mpg and he lined up next to me, three honks and I was already in third, I hit the gas and by 120mph he was behind me by two cars? Not sure if this is normal but I thought the a 350z would put up way more of a fight than this... When I slowed down he looked at me, didn't wave and took off again, Dallas/Mexico, what a scene.

These are dangerous games, playing around on the roads.
Someone wants to pass let him/her do that.

Odd... I had a 350Z challenge me as well one day. This was from about 40 mph to around 110 mph and I couldn't shake him. He was 1/2 a car length behind me the whole time. We finally pulled up to a stop light and I asked if he was stock, he said all he had was CAI.

Are the power outputs about the same between the 350z and the Infiniti G35? Same engine righht? I think! How would my 36 or a 43 hold up against a g35?
And I'm talking the older one with the skyline influence, 2003-2005 i think, not the newer ones

My neighbor has a 350z. It has around 500+hp hah definitely couldn't go toe to toe with him, it is wickedly fast.
I can hear his BOV coming from up the street haha

Ps: if there are any old school Z-boys here like me; he also has a datsun 240z with an rb26dett swap in it. Soo clean.

I think the G35 has a different intake manifold than the 350Z but they are both around 300 hp and run 1/4 mile times like our C43's if not a little quicker....

I think the first G35 coupe with auto is slower than our cars but the last G35 coupe had a little more out put and was faster then our cars in the 1/4 mile with a 6spd manual.

Road and Track from 2002 claimed the 2003 Infiniti G35 Sedan ran a 6.2 second 0-60 mph and a 14.7 1/4, these numbers are right around our numbers. They claim the 2003 Infiniti G35 Coupe does 0-60 mph in 5.5 seconds and a 14.2 1/4 mile which beats us by a couple car lengths. The newer G35's are even quicker nevermind the G37...

R&T claimed the 2003 350Z ran a 5.4 0-60 mph and a 14.1 1/4 mile, a little faster than the G35 of the same year...

Those times are all for the manual trans IIRC? Auto was slower.
Wasn't there a mag that ran our cars in the 1/4mile in 14.1? Ill have to go back and look for it.

1995 C 36 AMG; 1992 W124 300E (M103 Ex Mosselman TT KIT) was 320hp @10psi now stock :(
i have raced several G35 coups auto, and the fastest i have faced which seriously pulls on most other G35s was always 3 to 4 cars behind me even at well over 125mph.

I would expect those cars to be more low end..

Anything past 90 I think the c43 would take it. Being that our cars are more high end.

^^^^Notice the similar pattern that backs up my claim above

mind you a manual 350Z will put up fight up till its third, well atleast in the old C36 and due to the tall gearing it has, after abt 90mph the C36 picks up agian and will take the Z.

but the thing is Zs get tuned easy, and a CAI, Cat del a pully kit and reflash will have the Z eating the old AMG.

Yeah and if you res delete, 2nd cat delete, pulley and tune our cars its the same result but its costs much more. Same as add headers and cams...
