trim on the 202

alright so i have wanted the carbon fiber look in my 36 for a while now and then Don came up in another thread and he will wrap our trim in the carbon vinyl, but now i found this,
http://www.exoticwoodtrim.com/produc...l.asp?pid=1882

they have all of these different types for our trim, including real carbon fiber
so, anyone have opinions about this?
i personally can't believe it to be true

i guess i will try and email or call them to get some more info, but what do you guys think?

I would love to have the Silver CF but I love the Stock luxury wood look.

that's a cheesy looking stick on laminate kit they are peddling. Had one of those in my Trailblazer SS. i wound up ripping it out. Makes everything look puffy and totally stick on fake..

The CF trim I did in my car, Dinoc over all wood and the outside pillars- it's cool but I'm over it. It's an improvement over faded and cracked wood tho.

Just make sure you order a lot so when you screw up you an cut some more.

I hear that. I bought an eBay carbon trim kit for the b-pillars last spring. worst $70 I spent ever.

I'm still debating on whether to wrap the interior trim. I like the look of carbon, but it might be a bit much. I don't like the wood myself, and wished that the North American C43s had the carbon look trim like the Euro spec cars. I ended up painting all of the wood trim pieces black, colour matched to the exterior. Can't go wrong with black, never really goes out of style.

Does look good and better than the wood trim. Don't understand why the US version didn't come with the carbon look like in Europe. Looks you have an adjustable steering wheel. That's an option I don't have and I think it didn't appear standard on the European version before the 2000 model.

I think all of the US Spec cars have the adjustable wheel but its only telescopes and doesn't move up or down. The CF looks good in some pictures and then in others I dont know what to think of it. I cant decided if I want to go this route or not. The problem for me is I hear removing certain pieces is VERY hard work and you can break the trim pretty ez, because its now over 10 years old.

I think I removed all the trim pieces in an afternoon, not too difficult. The only tools I used were a phillips screwdriver and a plastic trim wedge tool. Surprisingly, the piece across the top of the dash was pretty simple.
