Another one bites the dust, anybody have any idea what happened to the trunk?

looks like it was cut out, probably to get at whatever was in the trunk after it got hit.

Ahhhhhh I would totaly teardown my C230 to rebuild the rear on this car!!!! I want to buy it to bring it back to life

Probably needs a good session on a chassis jig to get it straight. Wouldn't want my car driving like a crab down the road

^ No you are wrong, if a certified collision center brings the car back to life, then it will be like new again, but if you take it to a general body shop, yeah it won't be the same. But true you do need to set the car on a car-o-liner or a cellete bench to pull & square the body and get specs to bring it back to factory standards. the car needs:
Rt Quarter panel, RT Wheelhouse panel, rear body panel, spare tire panel, rear seat bench reinforcement, may have more damage and possible RT frame rail extension or complete all the way to the back seat. Everything in the trunk assy including hinges. Perhaps and exhaust muffler (looks like it's bent). rear bumper amg, rt tail lamp lens and housing, maybe a gas tank since it hit the right side, and some rt mechanical work since the wheel looks a little off but would need to be taken to alignment to see if it passes (which it wont since it has frame damage). And yes you can go to a scrapyard and find any 202 and cut the car to build the C43, most of the 202 stayed the same in rear except for some exhaust modifications and add some reinfocements to the right frame to sustain the rear suspension.
