That'd be really only for Canadians, as you can't bring up C-Classes made prior to '00 from the US, and Americans won't be down to buy as they can get them so much cheaper down there. Canadian market C43s (and C36s) are pretty rare.

Yeah they seem very expensive up here. I can sell mine for $14-16k if I wanted and I was tempted a few times.

There is one in British Columbia going for $19k with around 80k on it.

Yeah, even beat to hell C43s seem to fetch $10-12k, weird.

I'm seeing Canadian C32s for $18-20k nowadays, and I think the cheapest C55 I saw - in the Vancouver area - was for $22k. The latter are typically in the mid to high $20ks now. Few more years and the earlier C63s should be in that range too....

Everything in Canada is expensive. Gasoline in Alberta is expensive considering it has the largest oil deposit (yes larger than KSA).

Friend of a friend just moved to Saudi (working in the oil industry, living on a compound, just like the movie 'The Kingdom') and I understand fuel is $0.15 / Litre. I don't think it's been that cheap here since the '80s.

While we might have a lot of oil in Alberta, the problem is that it's stuck in the oil sands, which is extremely labour intensive to extract. But it means we have no provincial sales tax, and I'm down with that...

LOL not that I care but I love how this thread took a turn....twice.

Canada is...TOO ****ING COLD AND EXPENSIVE. Six months of the year the weather is like death on earth. I think the C43s here are expensive because they are lower mileage because you never get a chance to drive them all year round!

Why am I sitting here complaining and not moving somewhere warm? Because ive spent all my money on C43 in expensive Canada only to have it as a garage queen 6 months out of the year lol.

yeah those bitumens are very expensive to process. Someday, someone will discover an inexpensive way to extract those.

There is currently also a 2001 E55 with only 60,000 km going for $15K on kijiji, so I wouldn't hold my breath

Perceived value is a tricky thing when reality drives market value. Not to say that the right buyer wouldn't scoop it up.
