Cool My C43 pics (finally took some)

I know it has been forever but I finally took some pics. This is after my fender bender, and its transmission ordeal. Playstation install and some other easy mods. I hope to arrange the pics in order.

I hope the link will work. Its to the flicker site where the pics are stored. Should be 21 pics HERE
I hope to take better pics later

Thanks,

But it has clear fogs. I didn't notice the shot. The sun was setting. My guess is that's the effect.

tow alarm?

In the pic of your console (climate control/radio) you are missing the tow alarm switch located in between the lock/unlock door switch and the seat heater switch (notice the perfect switch size gap). I would assume this means you do not have the tow alarm...

P.S. the pic with the fogs is crazy, it looks like orange fog lights

Nice and clean car
I have same question as Kowalski: what front bumber to you have as that is defo not a C43 original Also, where did you purchase your front AMG flat badge. Looks like it fits OK (not like mine until it had the diameter machined down). Love also the yellow fogs (thought they where full of rusty water)

+1 That totally looks like a C36 front bumper! Anyway, I've always preferred the C36 body kit over the C43. Looks sharp!

Oh yeah the c36 bumper is more angular and geometric. That makes the car even more of a sleeper. Looking at my c43 bumper in silver its more sculptural and the line flows into the sideskirts.. Can't decide which i like better in silver. I think the c36 bumper is more classic but I prefer the c43 bumper in silver/white. In black or dark I may lean towards the c36.

Hands down the c36 front bumper is the best on the w202, at least relative to the c43 and non-amg w202 bumpers. I do prefer the c43 sideskirts and rear bumper though. Weird, huh?

I think the C36 body kit looks more aggressive but the C43 body kit is more classy

Is that 197 Obsidian Black or 040 Black?

In either case, sharp! The C36 front bumper looks good!

The center console is "busy" though... Inverter, iPod, TV, and GPS... O_O

I didn't paint the emblem or lettering. I Ordered them from 2 different sites. The AMG is a plastic badge but I found that to be better than a pinted one. The paint will not wear off.

I was thinking red on the black may look nice. I always liked the German firearms company logo Hk red on black.

The Mirror clips on to the existing mirror. I hard wired it and tucked the cord away. It tells you when a red light camera or speed camera is coming up. Its GPS data and updated. It can have a some radar detectors plugged into it to read on the mirror.

The time is shown when stopped, but will show speed as you move. Its pretty accurate. It also has a function to let you know when you go over a certain speed. Mine dings at 80 and has brought my led foot to my attention.Cheetah I found on Ebay for a lot less. They have non mirror devices too.

The mirror gice a wide view. I can see more and better for the kids in the back. I am happy with it.

Ha! it does look kind of nice with orange on black . No I don't have a tow alarm on the car. Its my 3rd W202 and I don't think any had it. I guess the alarm itself is enough.

The bumper is a fiberglass kit by Duraflex . They have a few models. I think this is the CR-S model? I had bumper damage and went searching for a nose. A guy on Craigslist in the area had one. for about $800 less than a Used gray bumper quote.

It was a little difficult for the shop to put on. They had to trim it and make some mounts. Originally they told me they couldn't use it, after i bought it. I like the look. I wanted to maybe have a Euro vanity plate on it. (Black on Black letters) It looked a hell of a lot better with front state no plate but some bored MP cop was big on enforcing this serious crime.

One more thing on the bumper. It seems to offer less of a nose on its profile. I like it. Its pretty much disposable if I tap something I think. I am not about to test it though

If someone tries to tow your car it will set the alarm off. I believe it is set to go off if the alarm is armed and the car is tilted past a certain angle (like picked up by a tow truck)

indeed it does, it wouldn't make much sense to have a tow alarm that only worked when the ignition was on... how often does a car get towed with the ignition on?

Mine will only arm when the car is off...
