Mercedes c36 Intake and exhaust.

Hello i am Michael from the netherlands,
I just bought a c36 amg, and i,m really enjoying this car I like al the options and the seats and off course the power is nice to .
But there is a small problem it sound a bit to quiet for me, so my question is, what is the best way to make it a bit louder and more agressive? Will a Gruppe M intake sound nice? I dont really care it,s so expensive I dont mind paying for quality. And what can I do to the exhaust? removing cats would be nice but it would make my gas mileage even worse. So I thought about a Supersprint in place of the resonator and a Eisenmann or supersprint muffler. Will this sound nice?
I also have a lot of things to replace so at the moment there is no money for an exhaust but I have got the money for the intake.

Thanks in advance

hahaha, yes i know but i dont mind paying for quallity, the car also wasnt cheap I paid 10k+. Do you know if eisenmann still delivers the muffler? But i,m probably just doing the Gruppe m intake this year and the exhaust next year, I have to fix alot of small things that will cost me a buck.
Does anybody have an idee if the Gruppe m intake will sound nice? Or will I not even notice the difference?

yes they do. I got Quoted about 1200 $ for a custom muffler form eisenmann. Be sure that it's made by them, because the one you will find for w202 isn't the good one, it's not made for the AMG type of engine. anyway it's about the same price as on the website. you should contact them. I got an answer in less than 30 min last time.

for the intake I don't know, yet because I haven't got the information if I can get a custom one by an other company of If I need to get a specific one due to the C36 specifications. But definitly, I'm taking an Eisenmann muffler, I love the sound they delivers.

i agree with you I also love the eisenmann sound. But I have never heard one on a c36, you? but for the same amount of money I could get a Supersprint muffler and a mid-resonator.

unfortunatly I'v never hear one on a C36 especially. on youtube you can find some eisenmann one C280 (the inline 6 of base model) and It sound really nice ! also on you quote, you can chose either you want a Sport sound or a Race sound. I think the sport sound is much louder, but all the informations will be given to you by the guy at eisenmann.

I know eisenmann is more expensive, but honestly, superprint for me is like magnaflow with asian cars, it's super popular, and not that expensive, but still in my opinion, it doesn't equals eisenmanns products. so Like you I don't mind paying, that's why I'm going straight to eisenmann. for the rest of the exhaust line, I'm going to a private shop called : Agtronic in Laval, Montreal. (go see their websites) they are real pros.

hmm I guess I have to searsch for a shop of them near my location.(holland) I think I really want one on my exhaust. A second option for me is to searsch for an exhaust specialist. But in my country arent much of those almost nobody had a custum exhaust on his car. I do have one on my c180 and I enjoy it. (its makes even more noice than my AMG but it doesnt annoy me)

If you buy the exhaust please make a vid from outside and inside. I am sure it will sound amazing.

Intake

I have heard GruppeM is about the only true-fit intake for the C36, but it is damn $$$ for an intake imo. But i've heard it sounds great, is great quality, looks awesome and is guaranteed to make every other 36 owner jealous. I know LAMF had one on his C36 a while back and it's now on his 190. There are also plenty of easy ways to fab one up for yourself. I went the cheap route so mine is not a looker by any means, but the fog-lamp breather pipe has a nice ram effect and it sounds sick, and only cost me $100 and a cut up stock air-filter box. So depending on how good you want it to look and how good you are with plexiglass/metal/making custom CF parts you can definitely get by for tons cheaper

I already thought about making something myself I did it before with other cars. But I also want to make it look good I think the Gruppe M fits that job. I would like to hear from someone that had one on his c36 how it sounds like.

KN filter, resonator delete, and a single chamber muffler is what I have. Put on some headphones and listen:

The last video the exhaust was somewhat cold, it isn't so raspy sounding after the car has been running for a while. Gives you an idea.

You, sir, are a madman! You nearly clipped that van while drifting into that turn!!

Where in the world do you live anyway? Lebanon, as in the middle-east country? Almost looks like Costa de Azur?

Wow you came SO close to dumping your C36 right into the median, somehow you were able to reel it back in though

what kind of camera did you use?

I really like the test pipe sound, But i,m afraid it will effect my gas millage to much. I think I will go with reso delete and than a eisemann muffler or a single chamber muffler.

K Guys, yeah thats in the Lebanon Midd East and yes we have really beautiful roads and scenery. And yeah the cam is actually a nokia N97 Phone with a phone holder

thnx Paul for the booster there am an ok driver been driving on our roads now for abt 22 years now and just like the finn i have to learn to catch the slides on our slippery roads.

Test pipes for me is just as loud as i can take it, but why would it affect ur millage !!!! even if the car throws a cel it only means that the second O2sen is not reading the value it should, the car still uses the primary O2 to control the mix.

It reminds me of how we drove in Greece back in the 60's.... on very slippery roads even when dry. Don't try thinking what it was like when wet

I think I know what I will do. I will install the gruppe M ,i am sure it will sound nice. It does on bmw inline 6 so why not om my c36?? Than I will install test pipes but I first have to speak with my mechanic about that. Yayrasheed can you send me a link where i can find test pipes? are there any down sides about them I have no experience with them.
