Any one know the color code or name (or vin even?) of this designo paint? I may repaint my C43 due to rock chips from high millage (over 180k) and have loved this color from the first time I seen it

Odd that every "true" C55 I have seen has been silver. What is the 3rd button just to the left of the emergency lights on the C55 estate? On my C43 it is the head rest drop.

Also odd that one of the C55's listed above is a "1998", all the literature I have found states that the W202 C55 conversion was only available in 1999-2000

 

That would be the rear window wash button I believe.

Why is it a 99' model? I thought the C55 was offered only in 2000 ?

 

Great car......i really want could have one (C55).....lucky all you guys....In facts, I just brought a 1995 C280, What I'm going to do now is modify my 280 cc engine to someting near to 3.7 cc engine by changing the piston (S500), crankshaft (S320) and connecting rod (S320). However, I'm still checking the data to see whether could fit or not.....

Is anyone know whether is fit or not or any successful case so that I could keep as a reference. Thanks

Yes...you are right....however, it is so difficult to find a C36 especially in my country. In facts, my c280 engine need to rebuild as I found some engine oil are leaking . I had checked the piston diameter for S500 is around 92mm (C280 is 85mm), so what i need is to do some ""clyinder ajustment"" for the engine........however, I'm not sure whether the result come out is ok or not....let me find out more inormation b4 do any action !!!

that c55 is a 1998 had a swapped trans into a Tiptronic version.
i'm not sure if this is a genuine c55?
owner had lots of stuff done, this might be a great car?

it will be difficult for him to sell this car as he can't get what he wants fo it.
seen this on fleabay many times before, he asked €22995 euros for this before and nobody wanted to pay that much

 

Current asking price is more reasonble.

i do see the 300km/h speedo cluster.
But i dont see the extra cooler which is installed in an original/oem C55-W202.
but then again they do speak about a different diff and floorpan if i read correct.

too bad they dont post a copy of the service booklet... with the spec list. (last page)

 

To me it looks like a converted 55. Can't be a true C55 as it's a 98 MY.
The real thing was for 00 MY if I recall correctly....
