C-43 with new shoes
I recently picked up this C43 up in the PNW. Had my indie tech go thru the car and it is now ready. One of my favorite cars to drive. Just put some new wheels on her today. I have the original mono blocks as well as some nice double spoke 5 spoke AMG wheels. These are 19's. You definately feel more of the road but an honest sporty feel. Next is to tint the windows. Mike

Nice ride!! Looks like porsche rims. Are you located in the PNW or just picked the car up from there?

Yep, I'm located in Woodinville, Wa. Just updated my cp. They look to me like Mercedes SLR McClaren copies. Most of my cars are 126 and 124 coupes. Have a 16V - 1987 but put it up forsale after getting the C43. These cars are the bomb!

Lowering is a good idea. My 560SEC and 300CE are both sitting on H&R springs and Bilsteins. I haven't search this forum to see how others have lowered their cars. Budget for this car is a little bit tweeked at this time.

Check the size of your pads under the springs. Several sizes are available and cheap from the dealer. If yours are thick, get some thinner ones front and back. You need to get this done using the correct spring compression tool. Easy to do if you have it but VERY dangerous to try to do it without. Defo cheaper than springs and shocks if your budget is stretched. However, I recommend a full suspension alignement after getting the height you want.
