Unfortunately i didn't remember a clear spes. for wiring installation,, i told my friend to send any pics. he had for that Tip- installation & he sent "3" pics.,, but as far as remember i only changed "2" connectors(Recognition switch & Reverse wire),,

Did you have to buy new connectors?

Which pins do the wires go in the gauge cluster?

I will have to get this info as it impossible guessing which wire goes where

As i mentioned before,, there’re a different models & versions of the gear harness,, im not sure which version AKA wires in your car, you have a

better idea than the one i did,, if one of those CLK320 you found has a Tip., you can simply take it with a gear harness either,, that will make the

things easy to you, better to not loosing time of connections & wiring job, like we did....

This is NOT the gear harness,, this cable for ignition lock & shows the position of the gear selector you desired in the Cluster,, the gear harness is the main wires connecting from the shifter to the TCU goes to the main Trans. plug,,

I didn’t give you the Harness # before, cause i thought there is a good Electrician around you can do the connections,, don’t worry about that, just you are lucky to find a CLK320, you can take the Harness right away,,

By the way: the Harness should comes with #: "202 440 69 09", or "202 440 70 09".

Sure my friend,, if you change the wires, that will make things easier to you,, as i told you: unless if there’s a professional garage that has

an Electrician can do the wires & connectors swap.....

Zayed im confused why does the wiring need to be changed? We are not changing TCU so why change wiring. If we changed TCU then i understand the wiring needs to be changed

I will be doing this mod my self

See, all W202 & W208 comes with a different versions of wiring harness, im not sure which version you have, when i pulled out my friends C43 wires i noticed he got a different version than i do,, although we have a same 98 C43s models & spec.,,

All TCUs has the same pins & connectors, the wiring which i talking about for the Tip shifter it self,,

Some of the earlier Tip wires has a minor different than the one we have, but some of late version of the Tip wires has more different,, that’s why i cannot confirm which version of wires you have, need to pull them-out & see.....

These part #s for the Tip shifter, NOT for the one you have,,

Do you ordered the Tip shifter from CLK320...?, if so, which model is that...??, and is it from the junk yard.....???
