I honestly can’t confirm that, until to see positively which version of wires you have....

Wouldn't it be best just to try everything before ripping wiring out am sure no damage will be done. If everything works then great if it doesn't then it could be two things one wiring two valve body what you think?

I was tracing wires which go to the TCU it wont be easy changing wiring harness. Am still confused where the wires goes for gear display? Do they go from shifter to gauge cluster or from TCU to gauge cluster?

Anyway: I think the part # is "04 54 or 08 24", and both #s is OK,,

Can that seller confirm to you, if this unit working or not.....!?!

I have been told prior to the cars accident it was working fine and it was manually overrided so it can be taken out of park because the ignition was also faulty so couldnt take it out of park

The tiptronic shifter is a control module that sends out signals on the CAN bus. It gets a signal from the stop lamp switch for park interlock. Direct wire. It also gets a message from the EIS for key on. It does not directly wire to the tcu or the instrument cluster. It sends out a message for position. The respective modules that want that take it in and use it accordingly.
The tcu will actually have fewer wires going to it. On the connector on the power side that the old shifter wired to it will only have power and ground and diagnostic line to the obd plug.
The other connector will stay the same. CAN and the wires to the transmission.
You need to get a wiring diagram and hook up the wires for the shifter accordingly.

OK here is the shifter pinout.
Pin 1, kickdown switch pin 1. bk/wh
Pin 4, ground.
Pin 2, circuit 58d. Comes from either the cluster pin 6 connector 2L after 06/00 and lower control panel pin 1 connector 1 previous years.
Pin 10, backup lamp output.
Pin 9, power to stop back up lamp . 12vlts
Pin 5, to stop lamp switch Pin3
Pin 8, circuit 30 in from fuse box.
PIn 7, Can low green.
Pin 6, Can high Gr/Wh
Pin 3, to diagnosic connector, obd2 pin 12.

ETC connector 2.
Pin 30, ground.
PIn 29 12vlt power.
PIn 7, goes to Pin 3 at the shifter and pin 12 at the obd2. The same one to the obd2 plug.
Pin 1, wh/gr to pin 10 of obd.

ETC connector 1 will not change.

Thankss for that Good info,,

I think that describe that swap NOT success in my car,, but its working great in my friend car,

I believe some models coming with a CAN bus which directly takes a new data from the Tip shifter goes to the ECU>>>TCU.....

Sure, as i told before,, changing the wires & connectors depend of you Exist version, whipplem104 with ThankFUL, put the Pins ID, which i personally NOT sure if it capable with all Tip models & versions,

That could helpFUL with a models which can except the signals of the CAN bus to the ECU.....
