strange Problem.....!!

Hi all,

One of my friend had 1998 C43, he recently put a Kleemann Cams, but some issues happens:

1) after starting the car & when it cold, everything OK, but after a while massage comes to the screen says "HI OIL TEMP" with beeb sound,

when switching the car off & on again, that massage dissapear & comes again after 2 minutes........!

2) when he use the car almost 2 hours, the gear shifts delay on 2>>3, but when switching off & leave it around 15 minutes & switch on

again, everything returns to normal........!

Any advice......

ZAYED,,

ZAYED,,
Have you contacted Kleemann yet?? I have not heard of anyone using the Kleemann cams in a 43 motor (probably because they are $$$$$$$$$$$$$$) but I do know they make them (or at least made them at one time). Please keep us posted on the outcome

Does the C43 have variable valve timing like the C36? If so, than I'm guessing that maybe the variable cam gear wasn't clocked all the way clockwise when the engine timing was set. This can cause a pocket of air in the variable cam gear, which could trip out the oil pressure sensor. Or the variable cam gear wasn't set right and maybe it is actually effecting the oil pressure?

Just some ideas, again, not sure if the C43 even has variable valve timing, but we had a similar issue when timing a C36.
