2 GT3's in 1 day

While out on a drive I ran into 2 GT3's today, a 996 and a 997. The 996 was white and the 997 was BRIGHT yellow. As luck would have it I had my gopro with me and was able to catch the 997 on film.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pqJl_...ature=youtu.be

Of course I am an idiot and didn't turn down my music until the very end when the 997 decides to give me a little show.

His license plate was "GT3"

Nice GT3 would be nice to see a comparison on a highway pull, so that you can see the effect of the power difference. Did he notice your c43?

Not sure if he realized I was in a C43 (or if he even knew what a C43 was) but he definitely noticed my Gopro, hence the little show at the end.

There is no need for me to even try to play around with my current set up. Now if I had the 55 swap with a blower than I would of tried to get him to play but as it stands a stock W210 E55 would walk me

eclectic assortment of cars
I was out for dinner with my wife a couple weeks ago. When we walked out of the restaurant, this lovely RS 4.0 was parked outside. One of 600 made, it is the ultimate 997 GT3, some say the best ever 911. Will they ever build another 911 as good? The current 991 is getting some flak for going to electric power steering....

Jeez that is heaven on earth
Indeed the 991 is receiving a lot of flak concerning the electric steering, but even more regarding the PDK transmission in the future GT3 or RS. Will the manual still exist or not? That is the question. Personally I wouldn't care as the PDK is nearly or even better than a human manual shift IMO

The 996 Gt3 is an amazing car. Spent sometime with a good friends Gt3 last year after he got a tune and a Fabspeed exhaust.

Its definitely not a car for just anybody . To drive it to even half its potential one should have some DE training. Its a race car in street trim, and responds that way.

The few times I really pushed his GT3 I sharted. It humbled me more than any other car I've driven...and I don't know squat compared to 1/2 the guys that still love/fear them.

What a car !

That would be a sad day for true enthusiasts.

I'm surprised they didn't get it right, considering their neighbors at Audi have achieved pretty responsive electric steering...

wasn't there a rumor going around that the next GT3 would be PDK only? would be a tragedy if that was true if you ask me
