New to this...
I'm in the process of replacing my WRX by a 99 C43 next week (I realized that quality and confort counts for me!!). Since I will drive the car 12 months/year and we have snow up here, I wonder if anybody had experienced this car during winter time??
If so, what kind of wheel package have you bought (I dont want to use OEM AMG mags for winter tires...)? Brakes are huge and I dont think they could fit on a 16" wheel...
Thanks for the info! This forum was very helpfull for me when I was searching details about C43s
PS
Dont drive it in snow, keep your wrx for that-MOE
if you are going to get some winter tires for the snow, i would actually recommend something heaver like a set of 17" amg knockoffs, along with some good snow tires. ive heard blizzaks are just okay, there is another brand/model snow tire that the audi guys like to use, but i forgot the name of it. im sure you can ask on your wrx board (i-club?) and get a really fast response, since they are awd cars.
make sure you keep a light throttle foot and keep the revs low, buddy. if you have "w" mode on your tranny, use it
good luck!

I'm now a proud owner of a 99 C43 silver with 48000KM on it (about 30K miles). So far, I love it. After 4 turbo cars (2 Volvos, a Porsche and the WRX), the V8 with its torque is a gem to drive...
By the way, I know alot about winter tires and my question was more about the wheels that I can use be cause of the caliper size. I dont want to scrap my mags with the salt so I need to find a steel wheel (like the SL wheels??)or some knockoffs like Rotorgasm suggested. I also found that one of you drives its C43 in snow and dont seems to have too much problems. I was wondering if it was usable in winter (I also have a boring minivan...)
Thanks for the suggestions and look foward to post more on this forum!
