US members - I need your help

Hi guys. I need help from someone who is based in US.

Here is the story. Few years ago I changed windshield with rain sensor. The shop where it was done told me they ordered new one with rain sensor, but it looks like it was not true. Rain sensor stopped working and after having a look at it, it looks like they just disassemble the plastic part from old window and stick it to new one. I will be perfectly fine with it if they will use proper sticker tape, which is not the case. So I need a new one. I found this: http://www.glasswarepro.com/2196340-...14d313d316d318

I found it in more stores in the US, but every time I tried to buy it, the shop told me that they can't ship this item internationally.

Is anyone able to help me with this? I will order it and tell them to ship it to your address and you will sent it to my address - I will Paypal you all fees of course.

In case the shop will refuse to ship to other address than the one on the credit card (or associated with Paypal), I will need someone to order it and then ship it to me. I will of course pay all fees and the product.

I will really appreciate your help, as I was unable to find anyone who is selling these in EU without new windshield. If anyone know where to get one here in Europe, link is much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

PS: I know I could just PM some one who seems to be serious, but I think this will be more transparent. I don't want to fool anyone, I just don't have any other option (except replacing whole windshield, which I don't need and will cost much more).

You can get the Rain sensor from the dealer directly #: "210 820 57 10",, its around ($160),,

or from the parts shop like these links:

This link also may help: https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...n-sensors.html

sorry, I think you missunderstand me... I don't need the rain sensor itself, I need those lenses (that plactic thing which could be directly on the windshield). If you will open that link you will see what I meant. And nope, you can't buy it from dealer, I checked that.

Thanks!

They come bonded to the windscreen and are not available separately.

What they are telling you is the OEM sensor you are asking for is not available by itself, you must purchase a new windshield. What you have linked is an aftermarket product and may or may not work but it is not OEM. Notice how it says "Mercedes/BMW" rain sensor...

Both of the people who told you this are some of the most knowledgeable guys on here when it comes to W202's (and MB's in general), I would take their word for it.

Good luck, I hope you figure this out

OEM windshields come with the rain sensor pad infused into the glass. The only aftermarket windshields that offer this same design is PPG. If you have some aftermarket windshield without the pad infused, that is where those stick on pads come into play. Many people here say it does not work and I started believing the same because my w210 came with a cheap aftermarket windshield with a stick on pad and the rain sensor didn't work. I took it to a glass shop and they put in a new stick on pad for $60 and reattached the sensor and somehow now it works.
