Dealer Showed Me Setup Of Front Springs

And the springs have a pad on top and bottom (look at #9),??
Mine only has one pad and its on top.

The diagram also showed another part my setup does NOT have (look at #10). is this diagram accurate? How's your setup?

That certainly does not look like the right diagram for a w202, let alone a C43. I know by experience trust me. I will pop you a copy of the EPC page tomorrow as I'm going to bed now
I couldn't wait till tomorrow morning, so see attached .pdf file containing the C43 front suspension diagram from the official MB EPC program

Not sure what #9 (in DRBs version, #10 in yours) is, but #8 is the same for both, the spring pad, or spring shim, or bump stop (just different names) and they all have different PNs and slightly different prices for the different thicknesses. You can search and find the complete list of sizes and part numbers in a different thread. #6 in DRBs diagram and #9 in yours are the same part. I don't know if they vary at all for the different thicknesses of the pads.

Thanks but I'm confused a little. Please forget my diagram and lets stick to yours.

9 is lets say a shim, which my car does not have.
8 is the pad which comes in different sizes, cool.
6 what is that again? Another pad? It goes on top with the 8?

Thanks for your patience.

Sorry I don't have the prices in the EPC program. That is reserved for the dealers from what I understand (in Europe at least)

#6 is a bung which fits in the center of the pad #8. It does not have any influence in the overall thickness of the pad
#9 is indicated in the parts list as NOT APPLICABLE for these models (w202's), so I guess it is a generic diagram for other wxxx models too. Never found any on all my w202's

Thanks! One last question on this. My car does not have that bung, is it needed?

I'm not 100% sure if it is really needed, but it does indeed centre the pad and all the spring assembly on the chassis spring cup holder, so I guess it must be useful
