1997 c36 without an ovp relay?

1997 c36 without an ovp relay?
So after doing an extensive search on this and other forums on the symptoms my c36 was having I concluded that it needed an ovp relay. So i went ahead and ordered said part from autohaus az (great site and quick shipping), got the part, popped the hood, removed the cover on the passenger side and...no ovp relay to be found. I then searched the other fuse boxes on the drivers side and in the trunk and nothing. 
recent repairs; head gasket, valves, head sent to machine shop, harmonic balancer, spark plugs, coils, serpentine belt and belt tensioner, and air pump fuse. btw, when i changed the air pump fuse, it ran way better but still idles rough at times.
On cold starts, the engine starts just fine and idles fine. then it gets a bit rough as it warms up. On warm starts, the battery light comes on. I blip the throttle and the light turns off. Any Ideas? I put so much faith on it being the ovp that now that there is no relay to be found, im at a loss. Thanks!

1998 C43 w/ N/A 5.4l swap
On your 1997 it has a k49 relay module instead of the over voltage protection relay. It is located by the diagnostic connector under the hood. You can identify it because there are like4 15 amp fuses in it
