Lock & Unlock option

Guys,

Before, i can hold the lock key for "2" seconds all doors & windows & sliding roof automatically closed, same as unlock wise,

after replace the battery, this option didn’t work,

is that related to the SAM module or central lock pump or there is some kind of tricky key reset.....??!!

maybe you have to do the window/sunroof resynch

EDIT: After reading several threads I believe this is what you need to do.

ZAYED,,

Yup

The correct way to resync is as follows:

Start the car
Open all windows all the way down
Open Sunroof all the way
Then one by one roll up each window by holding the button in the "auto" position and keep holding for 2 seconds after the window is fully closed... this does not require any sort of sequence as to which window first.
Then once the windows are done, close the sunroof by pressing "UP" and continue to hold it for 2 seconds after the roof pops up.

Thankss Jason,

Already done that,,

but i think the lock & unlock option is related to the key it self or SAM module or central lock pump,

or it need a different key reset....???

ZAYED,,

I have read that people have had the SAM module damaged when switching out batteries and it caused the one touch, among other functions, to cease function. The STAR system should be able to detect a problem. If it is the SAM they can sometimes be recoded, if not they are $$$$$ to replace

It also can be the "Comfort Relay" in the trunk goes bad, i will check it,,

in all cases; i will search for the good used SAM module here & replace it,

the MB replaced the SAM module # from "019 545 56 32" to "022 545 53 32",

i need to see what’s the difference between those "2" #s...!!

202 doesn't have a sam per-se.

are all your windows sync'd? do they express up and down? and is the sunroof sync'd? hold it in pop up position and continue holding a few seconds after.

also, make sure you are pointing the key directly at the outside door handle. it must be pointed at it, and within about 5 ft or so.
