Fog Lamps Upgrade

My C43 has Xenon headlamps and I wanted to change the bulbs on the fog lamps to the ultra white bulbs so that they would match.

I bought the ultra white bulbs but the problem is getting to the fog lamps. There seems to be no esay access to them. Can anyone help me? Thank You.

yep not an easy task. Basically heres what I did.

Remove the center plastic piece that in the lower front air dam (in bwtn the fog lamps) lay on your back with your head just by the lower front air dam. I hope you have small hands. Insert your hand in from the air dam, feel in there for the housing cover on the back of the fog lamp which is as same as you have on your headlights. There is a tab when you push it the cover comes off. Next is getting the bulb out. It is held in the same was as your headlamps and high beams. The spring-loaded clips. (POS IMO :o ) Next, you remove the two clips holding each bulb, pull out the wire bringing in power. Notice that the bulb has like a cut out on the base and a small button, will fit in only one way on the housing. SO YOU MIGHT WANT TO PRACTICE PUTTING IT BACK TOGETHER WITH YOU REGULAR BULB BEFORE ATTEMPTING IT WITH YOUR NEW BULBS. Getting the springs back in can take 5 sec or 5 mins, just luck since you can't see *****. Then also be sure you know how the housing cover goes back in. So basically do one side first before so if you get stuck you can look at the other side for pointers

a car that can't do the throttle reset.
why dont you do a true HID conversion for the fogs too... it kills those bs bulbs and matches the headlights... and of course it looks real nice.

you can do real hid's in the fogs... instead of doing the "like" hid bulbs. the real ones are much brighter, nicer... well you already know... theyll be the same as your headlights.

Not worth it when you already have HID in headlights. They still go for about 400 on ebay (too much for fogs) and thats for them crazy a$$ 8000K and up bulbs, which are a piece of *****. Never get any bulb thats 5000K or more. The 4200K bulbs which is what the C43 have are still 550 to 650, for a philips kit. (From what I have seen)
