SAD SIGHT.....

Well here in north jersey there are not many w202 amg sightings..since Ive owned my 43 maybe seen one or two in 5years! Well this morning walking out of my fav coffee shop I spot a silver c36 parked..it was dreadful..dented on every corner, lower front bumper torn up.I was in my stang so I sat and waited to see who was going to get in this car..a young kid approaches and I said, hey do you know what you got there..he responded yea an old benz my parents gave me..i hate it.I said who did all the damage? He replied if I bang it up enough hopefully I can get a new car bro....I replied that's an AMG YOU SHOULD RESPECT THAT CAR.He laughed got in and left.Wish I could have saved it.....

He will end up in a KIA then it will be too late.

My first C36 within a day of having it, some drunk drove into it, people have no idea, oh well...

Makes me care for my AMG more and more, I love it and some fools don't deserve what they don't understand, pure engineered beauty.

My C43 had almost 250,000 miles from the previous owner and had been extremely well maintained the entire way. On top of buying the car, he provided receipts showing he was meticulous about its maintenance the entire time he owned it. GUESS WHAT THAT WAS IN AMERICA TOO OMG

When I was raised, the whole world revolved around respect, family, hard work, honesty, and responsibility.

I feel as if I rescued my car from it's previous owner. Nothing so bad as what's been talked about here, but leaking battery acid in the battery/spare tire area that pitted the area pretty badly, had to do a pretty severe treatment to try and stop the rust, but due to MBs design of the battery tray, I can't be 100% sure I got it all. Then there's all the scratches, oil leaks, etc etc etc.

who cares?

its not your car, why does it phase you in even the slightest sense that someone treats their car like crap? Its not like a c36 is some one off rarity. Its like a $8,000 used car.

Quadcammer, some of us obviously care more about cars in general than others. The c36 may not be a one off, but it's still a pretty unique/rare car nonetheless.

It's sad to see anyone treat a nice car like this with disrespect.

Nothing. I'm way more American than I am Canadian, just poking fun at Jersey and the spoiled kids that are all over the place there.

But it was prob owned by a European prior to you.

No all jokes aside most Americans do treat their cars well compared to many parts of Europe and definitely the Middle East. Most of these people though would not make a stupid comment like the OP stated in the first post and they generally know what they have. In the Northern VA where I reside people buy high powered toys and only 15-20% of them have ever been pushed, if that. They simply buy it for the badge. This is great for people like us though because we get a barely broken in car.

who cares?

it's not your thread. why does it phase you in even the slightest sense that some people care about something you don't? It's not like a random thread on a forum of enthusiasts talking about cherishing the exact thing the forum was created for is rare. it's $0 to go find another thread of people you disagree with.

It phases me and bothers me greatly. The whole point is respecting YOUR own property and being responsible with a car that was given to you.BTW A C36 is a rare car..check the production numbers..regardless how much you say its worth. The last time I checked your benz though very nice is garden variety at best and wont be sought after by an enthusiast in 12 years...that's the whole point! Btw im from Clifton also...nice town

Heres my point:

You can respect your property with the best of intentions. But spending your time worrying about what someone else does to their property is a waste of time and mental anguish.

My car, while well equipped, is nothing special. It will never appreciate, won't be sought after, and won't be worth much of anything in 10 years. And to be honest, I don't care, nor would I argue otherwise. If i saw a w220 in the shape of the car described in the op, I might say, "oh, what a pos" and go about my day.

And yes, parts of clifton are quite nice. I live right off of colfax ave.

None of your business, I keep my cars to myself and no reason to boast.
