1999 CLK 430 , QUESTIONS ABOUT CHANGEING FUEL FILTER
I WANTED TO CHANGE THE FUEL FILTER IN MY 1999 CLK 430
CAN ANY ONE TELL ME IF THERE ARE ANY ELECTRICAL COMPONENTSS THAT NEED TO BE DISCONNECTED BEFORE I CHANGE THE FILTER ?

No need to disconnect any wiring for the filter change, just pull-off the hoses that attach the filter,
and investigate if they got any cracked,,
and don’t forget to open the fuel cap before changing the filter....

Great tips, Z, but what does opening the fuel cap do? Is it to release pressure?

Yes, there are a plenty of an air stuck in the fuel tank & expansion tank,
when you release the cap, you will notice some air pressure need to be escaped....

As Zayed says, no electrics there as long as you stay away from the pump wires which are close by. In all instances, leave the ignition OFF when doing the job. You don't want a spark when you have vapours around.... 
Also when mounting the new filter, don't forget to put a bit of fresh gas inside the filter before connecting up the hoses. This is to avoid that the pump sucks air the first time you switch on the ignition. Check also that the filter has the correct flow direction!

and ZAYED your the man cousin , im half Lebanese and half swiss
im here in USA and not to many ppl know much about these cars
thank god for this sight and all of you great people , so im going to change this filter today on my clk 430 amg , then I need to find a leak in my airmatic on my s430
