Alittle help needed PLEASE
until we drove it ! Its a rocket ship up to 3000 rpm then it flat lines! cam timeing is dead on what worries me is the damn advance what is the correct way to set it? all the way to d.s. or to p.s.
Any help would be greatly appreciated .




I did head-gasket job in my 1994 C280 as well, and it had similar result. Operated normally until about 3000 RPM but suddenly all power flatlined. I didn't have time to deal with it and went back to college.
My brother stayed home during the week and test drove it a few times to try and diagnose. He said at one point is just mysteriously started working on its own. To this day I have no idea what it was, but it never happened again.




we had to set cam timing. And furthermore the hand built amg engine is not much different than the eighty thousand dollar twin turbo motor in my drag car ! There all nuts n bolts!!

Besides, with timing off that badly wouldnt it be very very rough running at all rpms?
