Thought's Please

Felt the car needed a little updating, I generally leave my cars completely stock but had a little itch. I know the clear coat is peeling on my bumper, that will be next. She could use a good clean too, I know.

Please let me know your thoughts. Thx.

Im tired of the flat black look.Makes cars look dull IMHO.Actually saw a silver 63 with gloss black wheels which looked 1k times better. Go with a nice chrome advantgarde grill and refinish the wheels maybe polish the lips..hate the black emblems..my opnion. But if your happy rock it!

I hear you on the kind of dulled out look, my wheels were in a bad state and it's kind of nice to have all the imperfections covered up. It will also help protect them through the winter. I am done with chrome, I can take a little of it but the grill and badges will stay black. I was thinking maybe going w/ Gunmetal on the wheels.

Glad you like the badge, thanks and the older gen AMG badge's just looked too dated for me! Def going to switch the color on the wheels to Anthracite Grey, I agree that they currently look a little dull. Trial and error.

What type of gains can I expect from the ECU tune?

I've pretty much turned into a purist on w202 AMG's. I prefer stock or stock-look (like using E55 18" monoblocks over the stock 17")

I hear you on the towhook cover, it has come out before and the attached cord saved it. Cannot remember how I got it to stay but it moves around quite a bit still. I will see if I can get a clear plastic tie hook around it, if you have a better recommendation please advise. Thanks.

The cord that you said saved it sounds like it is worn or broken. They are two used and are replaceable. The parts at the dealer are only like $5 or so.

What does that cord do? It seems to have a function which I found quite interesting.

After reading your response I now realize you are likely missing both retention straps and the only thing that saved you is the outside temperature sensor.

The strap PN is 006 988 28 78 and you need two for each tow cover
