Depends on the tire manufacturer. You should be safe with any brand with a 225 on the front and a 255 on the rear. Some have fit 235's on the front and 265's on the back but there can be a surprising amount of variance between brands on how wide a 265 tire actually is at the contact patch. As far as rim diameter, I'm not sure if I have seen a 20" wheel on C43 (not sure why you would want to do this) but there are some that have 19's. Obviously, try to use the aspect ratio to keep your overall rolling diameter as close to stock as possible.

Depends on the offset. should be about 30-35. Maybe light modification needed, depends on your tire.
The Maximum Dimension at all... I think it is about 255 or 265 front and 305-325 rear but with heavy modification.
With 20'' wheels the Problem is, that the load index is too low.

I've got 225s in the front (18"x8.5") and 255s in the back (18"x10") no mods, no spacers, no rubbing

Thanks again for the great info. Just getting everything lined up for when my baby come out of hibernation, going to have a huge transformation come spring. I'm going to have her painted, lowered and new tire and rims. I have been asked every time i'm out were did I find her. This model is almost extinct. So i'm loving the attention she's getting. I hope you guys are experiencing the same thing. Buy the way she only has 103,000 miles, she's still a baby :-)

Unfortunately, I live in the US. Car people here are not viewed very favorably. Most people don't know anything about cars, and the ones that do think it's just a junky old Mercedes.

But every once in a while someone recognizes what it is and complements me anyway. I love these cars!

I was followed into my neighborhood once by someone who wanted to check out the car.

Per what was said earlier, just need to check the offsets. You don't want S-class wheels that have a 40 or 45 mm offset as those won't fit.
