http://blog.caranddriver.com/now-you...vealed-online/

C400 4MATIC with a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 good for 329 horsepower and 354 lb-ft

And a rumoured C450 with 400hp.

Would hate to get beat by a non-AMG C

Look at the bright side mate! we'll be driving classic AMGs over a normal 2015 Mercedes. The Noise, the looks, the passion, and the hand built engine compensates for power, I guess.......

Yes I couldn't emphasize on this more. I was at a Car Show yesterday and - having a far from perfect C43 - I couldn't believe the amount of people that went over and told me they loved the C43. Plus, you know that almost every time, you'll have one of the rarest cars at the show.

I see lambos and ferrari way more often than C43!

It does not take much to outrun a C36/C43 or even a C32 anymore.

However, look at it like this! A W202 AMG can be had for next to nothing vs say $40,000+ for a almost the same in performance C400

Perhaps the 2010 (single turbo) sedan model, automatic, driven by a girl

Seriously, those TWIN turbo 335's, even stock, are not to be toyed with. Girl I knew just traded in her 2009 535 automatic and that thing put my C43 to shame. Yes, FIVE thirty five.

But to stay on topic, I started to notice this with the 2012 C350. That year the standard V6's output was upped to 309 hp! The C43 still edges it out in torque, but the C350 sedan's reduction in weight makes it a fair contender for the C43. I haven't seen any vids or posts of anyone buying one and showcasing it's abilities, though.

But the C43 is still the C43. It's gorgeous, rare, hand made, and historic. I'd still happily trade for a 2013 C350 or a 2015 C300

A new V6 Accord can outrun a Ferrari 308. I'll take the 308 please.

I know what you mean though. Hence the 5.4 that has been sitting in my garage for ages will eventually make its way in along with a few other goodies that I have been collecting. Can't have those pesky C400's showing me up

One thing our vehicles have which the others don't is "patina". Patina is important and makes our "old models" so appealing. Something like a lady who has seen and experienced something of life, not just a frisky young mare...

LOL. Ok! Patina?!?! Haha. I'll say that the C43 is a really nice car and I certainly don't expect it to be very fast when it's nearing 20 years of age. Yes, you can turn it into a beast if you so like but it's still a nice car if you don't. I consider it a classic style whether you make it a monster or not and that's what appeals to me. So to the 1000 rwhp, 600 rwhp, or the 250 rwhp W202s, just keep it classy!

Time changes things.

Look at the most super computer from 1998, my CELL PHONE has more capability than it and is faster.

It's not too much different with cars. You can't really compete with the new iron.

I wouldn't worry about how fast your c43 is. Drive it, enjoy it, keep up on the maintenance and it'll be good to you and you'll love it for a long time. It's always when people get greedy and try to do too much, then your car will sour on you. Keep it all in perspective. That $1000 airbox that bumps you from 300hp to 310hp, really doesn't help the car at all. That money is better spent on nice brakes, tires, and other maintenance to keep it in good mechanical condition.

Yup. I'm not "proud" in the sane ways a punk with a new C63 is. I'm much prouder in the sense that I have a rare, vintage, historic, classic, and gorgeous piece of MB engineering. Essentially its a collectors piece. But it can turn heads of even untrained eyes and still outrun most cars on the road. Some idiot in a big 4 door dodge ram hemi tried to pull on me at 70mph on the interstate. Wasn't even fair. But a new M3? Not gonna bother!

Well I totally disagree.
With all the updates I have done to my car there is very little that can pull away .
And trust me they tried.
and my supercharger is not even installed yet....!
