Well, it's been a very long time. The Audi has come and gone. It was a great car up till the 1 year mark. Timing chain tensioner failed at 86k and bent all the valves. We fixed it and traded it in for a CRV for my wife. While the Audi was being fixed, I bought myself a 1989 Porsche 944S2, and went about saving it, just like I did my old C36.
Well, the Porsche has been fun, but my oldest daughter is starting to show an interest in cars and the back seat on the 944 is basically useless, so I have sought out to replace it with something that's still fun to drive and sounds great, but maybe has a little bit more usable back seat. A trade offer has come to me in the form of another C36 AMG.... So if the trade goes off as planned, I might be back. And this time with an even nicer C36...

Yeah, I sold it a few days after buying the Audi. The timing chain tensioner is a known issue on those, but Audi still refused to cover the repair even though they had rebuilt the bottom end under warranty only 26k miles before that, yes re-used the old tensioner, even though it was already a known issue at that point. I fixed it out of pocket and sent it on its way.

Well, it's been another year, and I've gone through another hand full of cars. I didn't not end up trading the 944 for the C36...
I actually traded it for a 2007 BMW 530xi wagon with a 6 speed manual.
that was a fun little car for a while till I got bored. Then I had a series of useful vehicles (trucks and SUV's). Most recently had a Land Rover that I actually really liked, well, a couple Land rovers if I'm being honest.
Sold the black one to a friend and daily drove the green one until someone made me a trade offer that I couldn't refuse..... C32 AMG...
So now I have another AMG to save (how could I say no to that?! Lol). This one was on the edge of death too, but I'm getting it there. I named it the Cdirty2
I already found some fairly rare Carlssons for it too
Just wanted to pop in and say hi, the 202amg forum was always a really great place. Maybe I'll see some of you over in the 203amg section.
