Key Infrared

I cannot recall exact wording but In SDS you should be able to select - Body Control Modules>OCP>radio actuations. it will change state as you lock/unlock.
In the mean time here is some good reading for other things that can cause this - https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...ay-lock-u.html

Zayed, when you install OCP make sure you disconnect/reconnect battery,my RF would not work until I did this

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Sulaco, I checked epc and there is 20 different part numbers for radio's in the 202033 from 98 - 00 they will be country and brand specific. I used the clk55's audio30 in mine because I thought it was necessary for multifunction controls when I installed CAN to it from cluster,it looks same as the my C43's original Audio30 but has no button to remove the button controls on the left, also cct boards inside are slightly different and as I found the LCD displays are not interchangeable even though they look identical(clk one has a line of pixels out)
All works fine for me so I cant see why same system from later years cannot work, you would want to make sure you are replacing with same style system or at least make sure your speakers or amp are compatible.
Regards,

I replace the OCP, still the same, but guess what;
i cleaned the driver & passenger infrared ports with a piece of carbon cloth & WD40,
waaaaaaaaaw, key working like a chaaaaam..
,, key can talk FREELY now..

ZAYED,,

Paul,
I tried to access Body Control Modules>OCP>radio actuations, unfortunate, no radio in the list,
i think radio FR is a part of ME2.8 or something..!-!
ZAYED,,

Whilst viewing you can press remote locking button on key and the indication will change to:
This will indicate key radio is working correctly =)
If no change happens and indication stays on "0" or goes to "F" there will be a fault somewhere.
cheers,
