I have a problem that's been there for months now.
- turn car on, turns on but right away like 2 seconds it turns right off.
Turn it on again and it stays on.
- If I turn key on to let the fuel pump engage, the car will turn on each and every time and it will stay on.
- After its on I drive, I than park and turn it off. I wait like 2-3 minutes and I go to the fuel injector port in the front of the engine. I push the little nipple and no gas comes out at all. IS THIS NORMAL?
Seems like I'm loosing fuel pressure right? If yes what should I check?
Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi mate,
Yes, it's looks like air/fuel issue, but not so sure..!,
did you try to diagnose the car, it will help a lot to see if all Electronics/sensors reading properly,,
also prefer to pull-out airbox & see all hoses/fuel rail/ injectors, if no leaks around them, no any connectors been loose..
ZAYED,,

Thanks Zayed.
I went and checked air hoses and no leaks at all. I checked the fuel lines and fuel injectors and no leaks.
I still have to check fuel lines from engine to fuel pump when I get a chance...
Do you think maybe the fuel pump or fuel regular going bad?

Had this issue with my 43.No codes same symptoms. My Indy replaced MAF and no more issues.

Thanks, but are you sure you had exactly the same issue? Because the maf would not make the fuel system loose pressure. Unless I'm wrong?Originally Posted by 99CEEFOURTHREE

Yes bro., it could be, our fuel regulator located inside fuel filter, better to change it if you haven't, check the fuel relay as well,, Originally Posted by speed43

MAF could interrupt the whole air/fuel system, in sme cases; ECU memory didn't catch that..!!

Today I ordered a fuel pump.
Where is the fuel relay? It's green right?
Any suggestions where to buy a MAS insert? Just the electric part and not the whole housing....

http://www.germanstar.biz/MAF.htm
Or Ebay. The part number is listed on the German Star site so you can search for other sources using that.

Not the fuel pressure issue, but same start/stop stall/ shut down issue as your experiencing.Originally Posted by speed43

Thank you zayed, interesting because I only see one relay in the trunk next to the fuse box. And it's black and the prongs are flat not rounded like your pictures and it does not have a fuse mounted on top of it.Originally Posted by cm60k
Yes this relay comes in green or orange(as optional), and it's located in trunck, above spare well..

Maybe it's because I'm in the United States?

OK I see. last night I changed a black relay in the trunk and the car started to hold the fuel pressure. It started up and stayed on. I pressed the fuel rail nipple thingy after it was off for a while and gas just kept coming out. Before only a tiny bit would come out.Originally Posted by 99CEEFOURTHREE

But I received the fuel pump I ordered so I went ahead and changed it since it's never been replaced. Going to test drive the car today.....
Yes zayed it's that black one. I ordered the beck arnley fuel pump. I know it's not bosh but I hope it makes the car run just as good. $103.00 shipped.
Guys, is the beck arnley good pump or no? And Eric thanks for the link to the MAS. Pretty expensive but I'm sure it will last long..
Btw, I installed another intake manifold that I cleaned up and had ready. No leaks and works great BUT the thing is noisy? My old one was not like this, any ideas why?
I would put the old one back but although it's not noisy it does not perform like the noisy one? Both were cleaned the same way...

I don't know anything about "Beck Arnley" products, cause we don't have them in markets here,, Originally Posted by speed43

they my work well, but personally prefer to go with original "Bosch" as factory MB proved..

ZAYED,,
Ok, thanks zayed. Bosch was $100.00 more. So far the pump is working very well. Weird thing is with the old bosch I could not hear the pump pushing fuel. This new one I can hear the fuel or pump working. Don't know if that good or not.
Any thoughts on the noisy intake manifold?

Zayed, I can't find any specs on the pump. Here's a link to the one I bought.
Also, it's not a whistle sound, more like a hollow sound. Can't explain I will upload a sound clip later on.

Here's the clip of the noise that to me is coming from the intake manifold.

Woooo, strange sound..!
it's similar to idler pulley when it damage, is it comes from inside manifold or sides..?
