Engine mounts - C43,CLK55,E55,E55K
Hello guys, Can you help me with this choice
I have some vibration in the chassis 60 - 80 kmph, it is in time with the prop shaft and is not effected by engine RPM.
All Rear subframe/diff mounts are good and I had my engine mounts out recently and they seem fine however are slightly more compacted ~3-4mm than new.
I suspect prop shaft alignment,so I want to freshen the mounts and then align it all through.
There are some choices when going with new mounts:
E55k front A220 240 27 17 ,rear A220 240 02 18
E55 upto #A840000 front A202 240 29 17,From #A840001 front A202 240 44 17 ,rear A212 240 03 18
E55 from 6/99 front A202 240 49 17 ,rear A220 240 02 18
CLK55 front A202 240 29 17 ,rear A212 240 04 18
C43 front A202 240 29 17 ,rear A212 240 04 18
Many of the rear mounts are interchangeable so I haven't showed all numbers..
Does anybody use mounts from 00 - 02 E55? are they better?
I assume because the E55k has more torque and is engine is heavier with SC these might add more vibration but could make the C43 feel much tighter?
Cheers,
(2012 EPC)

M113K mounts are they bolt on, no modification needed?
when you compared different mounts did these M113K mounts turn out to have stiffer rubber?

Hey Paul,
98 >> 2002 C43/CLK55/E55 sharing the same mounts, which is: "202 240 29 17" as optional of "44 17" or "49 17",
they comes as Corteco or Boge/Lemforder, depend of production line,,
honestly; didn't noticed any difference between them..

Not recommend to go with any aftermarket stuff that doesn't has contract with MB..!,,
if you don't want to go with OEM, then your good choice to go with Lemforder/Boge/Febi..

zayed bro
did someone from your friends tell you to try the E55Kompressor engine mounts on your car or did you just buy these engine mounts for testing purpose to see if they fit well to w202 chassie?
do you remember if bolt kit is included with engine mounts or did you have to get them separately?
i'm thinking of getting these engine mounts soon 2-gether with new flexdiscs for my propshaft.
replacing 15 year old and dry rubbers before they brake down might be a good investment for my car?

Dennis,
when i saw EPC, i noticed all M113 sharing same bolts, upper bolt is: (M10X60), and lower is: (M8X21),
i went to my friend garage, and saw 2 used E55K mounts in his storage, i toke one and compare it with mine, they look like the same,,
but E55K is more stiffer, i put them immediately, they are great...

Dennis,
I am 99% sure lemforder/BOGE is the OEM supply, I pick up my e55k lemforder/BOGE A220 240 27 17 tomorrow they will likely just have the MB part number ground off I will post a pic for you

Dennis,
Lemforder mounts arrived, the box says A220 240 27 17 but inside is A202 240 30 17
If you look at Lemforder website they are both the same engine mount.
..Though if you look at EPC A202 240 30 17 is right side of W210 E300 turbo diesel, and not used in any other model.
My current C43 mounts are Lemforder/Boge but has the part number ground off
