Power Steering Pump

My C43 steering pump is making a lot of noise and the pulley looks like it's moving side to side from what I was told by a mechanic.

Anyone have a brand you prefer accept for whatever the dealer sells? And has anyone replaced the pump that can give some pointers as how to do it?

Thanks for any help, this car just keeps breaking down piece by piece.

I feel you.. It's been an ongoing affair with mine as well; replacing everything. Just replaced the idler pulley & belt, but now I'm waiting for the tensioner to be delivered. My power steering pump seems ok for now.. We'll see in a week This video seems to show some valuable information regarding a ps pump. Btw, I recommended OEM, it looks as if AutohausAZ is carrying a Luk (OEM?) power steering assembly.

Either a Luk or ZF pump would be fine. Make sure you replace the P/S tank at the same time (there is a filter in it).

Power steering pump is really not a big deal. Mine went out too. I was lucky i found a c43 parting out so i snatched that one off of it.

I would get a new reservoir with a new seal while at it

Thanks everyone! I will look into the zf pump. I'm trying to figure out for now how to bypass the power pump and ac since it don't work either. Maybe I will just need a smaller belt?

What about having it rebuilt? It's like half the price.
