Thank You for Helping Out !! I GOT THE EXACT C43 I WANTED !!!!

I'm elated !! I was patient and SCORED !! Everyone on this forum has been an awesome
inspiration and thank you to al that chimed in on my other thread in my search for the exact C43 I wanted !!!
Quick rundown and then PIX !!
Named the car Macbeth, I know the play and know how it ends, for some reason hopefully a good one,
thats what came to mind staring at the car.
A tyrant bloodthirsty yet ambitious ruler set to conquer all. Seems fitting

99 C43 with ................. 98,300 Miles yes 98 !!!
Clean CALI Title
Silver
Two Tone Tux Black and Ivory =)
Loaded up and even has the original phone !!

Bought this from a really nice and honest guy up in Chico yesterday.
He only put 29,000 miles on in the past 10 YEARS !!
This isn't my 1st rodeo so when looking at the car, I saw its true
potential. He was a father of two with no time on his hands to
really give the car the upkeep it needed. The car just needs a major detail
a few dings pulled and an alignment. He gave me a killer deal because he knows
it needs a major service, trans mount and deep deep deeeep and I mean deeeeeep detail.
But leather is perfect, paint is great, headliner is clean, seats are just mind boggling ,
steering wheel has NO wear.
This is the EXACT car I wanted, he left me room in budget to take care of a major service and etc.
Im really excited for this, and gheezus this car is nimble and begs for WOT !!

I don't care for the wheels, they're 19 they run smooth no rubbing, they're tru but just hate looking at them lol,
The car is lowered on (unknown) springs and bilsteins, I love the front BUT the rear sag is annoying.
I keep hearing about "PADS" and would love to know if I pads raise the rears or if I should just get
new rear springs???I am a big fan of a rake opposed to level drop.

19inch Wheels for sale (I want 18 monos)

WILL 2001 Mercedes Benz S500 Staggered Monos fit my car? ET31?

SOME pics because I want to show off after major detail.

car looks very hot
congrats dude

rims looks very nice with open design, if you change your caliper to something bigger your rims will flaunt the new calipers.

did you see under the bulges of your front spoiler?
looks like it needs repainting, drivers side looks a bit worn.
your passengers side fog light is crooked.

happy driving

Thanks man, yep saw everything you mentioned and some others as well.
Bumper bulge needs some clear coat, its a surface scratch, fog light is actually cracked.
To me these are minor tweaks and fixes, I am super picky and was happy to get this for
a great price so that i can really bring this car up to a dialed in spec.
As for wheels, well they're for sale, not my cup a jo

Congratz man

Shes in great shape and its low miles honestly. Its hard to find one with under 100k.

I have a brand new fog light lens if you are interested. Im pretty sure its the side you need.

Imo 19s do look a little too big. Hope to see some monos on there soon

I actually like those wheels on there, they look pretty good. Might have to take them off of you if I end up in the Bay area later this year and you decide to part with them. I don't think the S500 wheels will work without spacers. They usually have a good bit more offset that will cause contact on the inside. I think our wheels are in the +31ish range and then when you go wider, the offset needs to get even lower.

Awesome find! Hope you got a good deal, but the fellow C43 owner in me I hope you paid a lot of money, too Kidding!

You seem to have quite the curious collection of cars. May I ask what made you look for a C43? Will it be your daily driver?

Also, 18" monos with ET35 are the best fit for all w202 cars. If you want the ultimate OE wheel, look for the staggered 2 piece monos. I had them on mine until I sold them like a dummy. I can provide a pic to show you what a difference it makes. Just look for my ifrst thread stating i finally got an AMG. They were a very rare dealer option and only came standard on SL55/SL73 r129 AMG's. Frankly I'm shocked those 19's work at all with how low the rear is sitting.

Nice find, no rubbing in in the rear with those 19"s? A previous owner ran mine lowered with 19"s & the rear fenders show some evidence of rubbing.

Thanks !! I have a very very curious collection, I couldn't even write in all of what I have, and even had had in the past. The list is lengthy and no im not a dealer. I love German cars !!

Please send me a pic of your staggered 18 monos and exactly what car they come on so that I can search. I really want to get them asap !!!

Yes the C43 will be my daily as I revamp my garage for the summer.
Looking to keep the C43, E63 and a Porsche Cayenne .

There is NO rubbing not even on a sharp u-turn with these 19s. They run well I just have my mind set on monos.

Thanks !!

If going 18inch Staggered Monos what is the proper and best offset
while being lowered?
Which car and year(s) did the come off originally?

If going 18inch square or non staggered which offset is the best and proper fit
while being lowered ?
Which car and year(s) did they come off originally?

ALEX33 -

I remember you mentioned you did just a muffler delete on your C43.
Do you have a video or something where we can hear it?

I did a muff delete on my E500 and it was the best decision I had ever made.
It sounded soooooo good at WOT or even hard cruising and really quiet
around town with NO drone.

did anyone try full set of E55AMG MonoBlock's ET35 rims on front and rear axle?
do rear wheels fit front axle?
running a full set of ET35 rims must be better?

my Brabus MonoBlock's are ET35 front and rear

Same, my Carlsson 1/6s are ET35 F&R. No experience with the 18" Monos though.

I've been meaning to take a startup and idle vid for a while now. I'll get on it for you Also, my setup is staggered on 225/40s up front and 255/35s in the rear. The 225/40s have a slight stretch to them tho.

The 2k1 18 inch staggered S rims will need spacers. Look for some from a w210 e55.

rear monoblock rims are 9" wide.
most rims w202 uses 8.5 in front , for rubbing issues would 0.5" matter in front using the 9" wide rims?

my brabus rims are F8.5/R9.5
