examining my past front end damage
I sold my car to a friend of mine a few years back. He was in a minor front end damage. Fender and headlight were damaged.
I bought the car back after repairs and paint. Everything seemed fine ad all body panels fit nicely(bumper sagged a bit but the skeleton was always cracked and needed to be replaced)
So I took the bumper off recently and I found out that the part that the fender mounts to was slightly bent in in the front where the adjustable bumper mount hangs on the left side. This is the cause of the bumper being sucked in more on the left side than it is on the right.
I can probably adjust this and make it look better but my question is......can the part of the body that the fender mounts to be replaced without going under the knife? Is it just spot welder or?
In this pic below it says it can all be replaced separately. Can anyone confirm?

Im not sure actually if that's it. Here's the damage on my car.
Can you tell if that's the same part?
The part that the L shaped bracket mounts to is slightly bent in

I checked my son's C43 yesterday. The part you are referring to is spot welded onto the outside of the wheelhouse (the pictures are showing the inside). I can't find it as a separate part in the EPC, although I may have missed it. To replace that wheelhouse panel is major surgery and not even close to worth it to repair the minor damage to that bracket. A good body man should be able to massage/pull that piece back into position. The only other options if you insist on replacing it and it isn't available as a separate piece, is to 1) buy the wheelhouse and drill out the spot welds or 2) find a wreck and drill out the spot welds to remove the piece.

Thanks for taking the time to look into that.
I ended up moving the aluminum L shaped bracket forward about half inch. The bumper sits perfectly now. The fender, corner light, and headlight were not effected by this at all so I think I'll just leave it alone.
My friend is pretty much throwing away a w202 shell so I thought I'd ****** the wheelhouse and replace it if its possible. I might have to inspect it on his car again since hell have the fenders off. That way well know for sure

why don't you take entire bodyshell from your buddy, remove everything from your c43 transplant into the empty bodyshell if it's in better condition than your car?

That car was rear ended bad. The back bumper is in the back seat pretty much.
My car is fine except for that part. That would really not be worth it lol plus its a c36 he has
