Lowering a C43

So about the lowering of a C43 with Brabus.

I found my old email from Brabus, which is where I bought mine from.

The BRABUS springs are designed to lower the car 1.5" in the front and rear and will not have a camber when installed. The springs are designed so after installation the wheels will still sit straight and also will not need an alignment. Having the BRABUS springs will NOT void your factory warranty. The only reason the warranty will be void if the BRABUS springs are improperly installed as in cutting coils. There will not be excessive tread wear because the tires will sit straight. I have had 2 C43 customers buy these springs the past week. They all complained that the AMG springs were too soft and wanted the BRABUS springs to give the car a more ggressive feel. Feel free to contact me with any further questions.
Thank you.

I did have to do an alignment and also added #4 pads in the rear to correct the neg camber. Kept the OEM Bilstein shocks. $200 direct from Brabus

I contacted a Barbus distributer here in Fremont. They quoted me about $1000 for the springs, pad and installation ($495 springs plus sales tax; $400 for installation). There is a lead time of 4 weeks though.

H&R apparently is all back ordered, so that means can't even consider that brand,

Rentech's springs are $525 with a 1 week lead time.

You could try a set of Vogtland springs, they only cost about $230 and have a drop similar to Brabus

I just called Brabus at the number you posted 99SlvrC43 above and the guy told me $410 for the springs. Did the price double from the last time you purchase from them? Or is the $200 at wholesale price or something. They don't have it in stock but will can get them in 2 weeks.

Damn the local distributer is trying to rip me off. Luckily I called Brabus directly. They jacked the priced from $410 to $495... And I am sure since they are a distributer they would get a price break too.

The guys from Brabus did not called me back but their distributor in NY told me the same thing: 495$...

Tired to wait, I just bought my new set of H&R springs on Tirerack.com for 237$!! :-)

I'll install it in a few months when I will start to use the car again. I'll post some pics when it will be done.

Thanks 99SlvrC43 for your help.
To edchiu8, Tirerack seems to have H&R stock in their warehouse.
