would it be possible to fit a w203 C55AMG 3.07 diff and wheel drive-shafts on C43?
the w203 C55 diff has oil cooling heatsink added which is a nice upgrade

"R171 SLK55 & W203 C32/C55 & W209 CLK55", all these models comes with 3.06, with bigger W220 pumpkin, like "W208 CLK55 & facelift W210 E430/E55",,
*this bigger W220 pumpkin can be fitted in C43, if you do the frame cut upgrade, like Paul's project..

the other dude in previous reply said it's 3.07 for w203 c55, i thought it was just a straight swap between w202 and w203?

I'm using my C43/55 with stock 3.07 over 5 years, without any problems, also i'm using LSD/OEM Castrol oil, it's brilliant oil with more age..
*C36 with 4-speed comes with "W124" or "W210" 2.85 or 2.87, (165mm or 185mm), depend of the car spec..!
*C36 with 5-speed comes with "W124" or "W210" 3.07, (165mm or 185mm), depend of the car spec..!,,
*C32 uses 3.06 with "W220" (210mm)...

Diff. can't be toasted, it's strong enough,
unless if he not care about the age of the oil, & the condition of flex disc & driveshaft center bearing and the condition of "3" main diff. bearings..!!

Zayed is correct, w203 c55 use 3.06!
In epc there is no listing for c55 housing only, however 203 c30cdi amg uses w220 case with w210 e55 cover plate, so as Zayed said the c55 pumpkin will fit but you will need rear cover plate from w208 clk55 to mate your w202 subframe
I wonder if the 203/209 subframe would drop in?, then you could use c55 cover plate and cooler
Maybe we can just retrofit me2.8 from clk55, then tune tune tuney
C55 diff/ frame has extra support option, bush relocated off to one side.

Guess the OP also never pursued this quest to put in a clk55 diff. Perhaps realized it was not worth it.

Diff in the C280 is also the same as the diff in the C43. Found this out when I decided to look into putting a quaiffe diff in my car.which I still have yet to do.

IIRC, this part is unique to the w202 C55. I remember reading somewhere they all had to be custom fabricated by AMG for the C55 which was special-order only. You had to buy a C43 then buy the 5.4l "upgrade" where they'd pull it back to Affalterbach and do these mods.
Sure, you can do the pumpkin swap to make it "true" but is it necessary?
Has the diff ever failed in a 43 even with 55 swap? I have literally never heard of one. And they have the same ratio and neither are LSD, so what's the point?

The 2005-2006 C55 is a W203.....NOT....W202......See Below....
Good luck with the build!

Hi Rob. There was also a W202 C55 built by AMG. See this link: https://oppositelock.kinja.com/5-awe...-of-1272649755
I was aware of this conversion version; however, according to EPC, they do not list any W202 C55 anywhere in the world! I can see where getting parts for that conversion will give the MB parts guys migraines and nightmares! lol.....
See attached!
Again.......good luck with the build!
I'd offer to help you find parts but without that W202 C55 in the EPC, I don't think anyone but the MB Conversion team that put that those parts in that limited production model could find parts!

disregard post didn't read back far enough
Rob, there is a parts list further back in this thread, AMG printed it only that's why not shown in EPC!
