C43 Vs. All

Hey guys, Im looking to get into a C43 or an s54/s52 M coupe. I love driving stick and im a huge fan of autox and Im goin to start doing track days.
Just wondering:
How is the the C43 on the track? Handiling, power, tranny and the lack of the manual and such. I love the C43s classic look and i knw it beats out the M coupe as far as crusiability but i like cars and i like to drive em fast.

Thanks for the help in advance.

If you want a track car the S54 is hard to beat. It does have some short comings, most of which are easy to fix. Go check out www.bimmerfest.com

even tho it's got the e30 rear suspension...my friend's m coupe seems a lot more nimble than my c36... and has tried a few upgrades for autox...like custom valved bilsteins and a bigger front sway bar (which helps turn in believe it or not, against normal wisdom), nothing too much to keep in class... i suggest the m coupe for autox and the c43 for spirited road trip...the c36/c43 has one of the most comfortable "sport" suspensions i've seen ..altho i haven't been able to test out some of the newest cars like the c32 or s4...

If i get either car i will be going in two different directions. With the M more towards performance and trackability, exhaust, suspension intake etc. With the C more towards show, a sick sound system, lowered and clears. Im starting to lean more towards the C but i love driving stick and thats the biggest draw back. I could live with a loss of nimbleness but honestly i get bored driving auto.
Anyother suggestions besides these two cars? O and they will be my daily driver and my one and only car.

The C43 actually suprised me with how nimble it is and it's quick enough to where it'll probably be one of very few cars you wouldn't miss a manual transmission in...

I'd have too much fun weaving traffic.

The C43 can be turned into a pretty good hardcore sports car. I have been working with Penske Shocks and we now have an adjustable shock that works very well for track work and autoX driving

If you like to tinker and love to do mechanial things buy the C43 and enjoy.

it's funny to me how always on every forum bmw people always say ooooh bimmers have better performance, handling, etc.

thing is it might when it's stock but shoot once you tweak lower a w202 it handles better than a stock m3 by far i don't see why all this fuss and overating of bmw
