I had posted I'm going to stop trying to sell here in the forum.
But some had encouraged me to give it time. So going to do just that.

+1,

This is great air value mod., rather than go with less value air kit, or compared to NOT $$$$ worthy of all other crapy aftermarket's..!!!

Quote: Just wanted to let you guys know I'm closing this down here at the forums. Starting next week the air boxes will be sold on eBay. Which will cost more due to eBay and PayPal fees. I can't believe you guys think this air box doesn't make a difference. I been a long time member here and I would never post or try to sell you guys a fake product. Oh well, you guys don't know what you missed.
From this post I take it that you've been getting a negative response? From reviewing the thread, I don't see anybody saying "this air box doesn't make a difference". So have people that have already purchased from you give negative feedback?

Well, this thread took a strange turn. I for one am interested, just not immediately. I think it would be a good idea to maintain an open decorum with members here for possible future business. I wish you the best of luck and I might be looking for your product on eBay at some point down the road

Let me tell you why I posted that. I reached out to a few guys here and offered a discount for them to review my product honestly. None of them replied back so I took that as people just not interested. So I just thought it best to sell at eBay so I don't spend time here....

But a member here has paid for one but hasn't sent the air box yet.
So no I have not received negative reviews as no one but me have used the air box.

I will edit the post and remain patient till someone reviews it.
Thanks for the feedback and thanks Zayed for your support!

Sure, Geo.,

you sell a REAL more value & more air value room air box, that's the FACT,

you don't put a commercial name or logo in your great box, that doesn't mean all foolish logo's in other box's are better than yours..!!

*anyone who believes the theory of [[more air room = more value/more density]]

will go Right away with your box, instead of loose $$$ with loose time with other dolls..>!>!>!>!<

if you dyno your car with old airbox vs new airbox.
post dyno proof on this forum, i bet you'll sell these grosser airboxes in a minute!

otherwise people might think you are selling snakeoil.
people don't want to waste money on crap, there's lots of poor quality stuff on eBay.

best advice is to show some documents of improved performance

make sure you use best components and constructing skills when you custom manufactore these airboxes.
negative feedback for your business is a big NO NO from unhappy customers

good luck

I was really excited about this and was so close to getting it. I trust this guy and I believe hes made a good product that will do what he says it will.

It would reasure others more if he had dyno results but that didnt bug me at all.

Im looking into dumping money on my timing chain and that is the only reason I didnt go with this. Im kind of bummed honestly

Hope you sell many because it does look legit. People outside of this forum will ask for proof of gains for sure tho

First of all there are quite a few reviews showing dyno tests on the Renntech air box priced at $1500 and UP. My air box is the same idea but without the carbon fiber. Theirs is gutted on the inside with no square baffles. So is mine. Theirs have way more space on the inside for air flow than OEM. So does mine. They make it I'm guessing by hand. So do I and I'm by myself doing these.

There is no reason why my air box will not perform as good as theirs, bottom line.

But for what it's worth I did call two dyno shops last week so I can take my car in.
They are not close to me so I wanted to make sure I had an appointment.
Both shops did not answer and both did not return my voice mail. When I called all I got was "we are either out of our office or helping another customer." So I decided not to dyno the car anymore. I have a bad leg so sitting, walking, sleeping effects me. I'm not going to waste my time with these

Pj, I wouldn't mind modifying your air box and than sending it to you. Than when you have the cash you can Paypal it to me. But right now I need someone that can review asap.

What do you need? I can do a dyno before and after along with comparison pictures and install.

I don't care to dyno the car after put any air set-up, cause dyno NOT always good prove to see how your car act, especially under 20hp,

that depend to the "weather/temp./humidity/air density inside the dyno Room"..,,

if you know & sense your car well, dyno will NOT beat you..

when you gutted the airbox removing square baffles. how does airfilters get stuck to seat them in their places?
square baffles keeps a pressure making filters sit in place?
are both filters loose inside after removing square baffles?

I need someone to buy the complete air box from me and than install it. Or they can send me their air box to modify. And if whoever wants to dyno their car that's completely up to them. They WILL notice the difference and I'm sure they wont care to dyno it. Dyno would just be to see how much HP and torque it DID add.

You will see/feel the difference. And if you drive your car slow you will get better MPG as it breathes better. But with my air box I don't think you will want to drive slow. I'm serious, it's just fun stepping on it.....

The air filters are "sandwiched" between the top and bottom part of the air box.
The square baffles are on the top part of the air box. The baffles do NOT hold the air filters in place, the housing does that. The baffles from my reading restricts the air flow. How much restriction I don't know, but guys with air boxes that have these baffles get rid of them for better air flow. So I do this to my air boxes, might as well so the box can be as smooth as possible.

Btw, I don't just remove the baffles. I also fix the part inside the air box that's like a "step." You have the square baffles, than in front of that there's that step which blocks air flow. So I smooth it out so the step no longer blocks any air. This no one has modified when they removed the square baffles. Not an easy thing to do trust me.

Did a small recording to see if you guys can hear the air being sucked in with my air box.
The longer I hold the pedal the more you can hear the air being sucked in. But I did not floor it, to much traffic. Best hearing the clip with loud speakers or headphones.

I'm assuming MB put the baffles in too quiet the engine noise down? Just curious why they put them in from the factory.

From what I've read you're correct. But it really does not help that much to keep things quite. But it does reduce air flow.

Price would be much higher which would defeat my purpose in making a much cheaper priced version of the carbon fiber air box.

Some pictures would be very helpful, side by side comparison of stock & your modified airbox.
