M113 cams

M113 cams
Hi, after a lot of research I was not able to get definite answer on what are the best available cams for NA m113 engines? Does anyone know please, I would like to keep my car NA and looking for ways to get more power at higher rpm.
Also, another open question I found is if newer m113 engines found in w209 and w203 amg have different cams and if it's with the change?

There is evidence the 203/209 55 era shifts the torque a little higher along with the higher rpm limit, amongst many other parts the crank updates(11:1 CR??) , I'm unsure if installing these cams on older M113/tune will get the desired effect!.
Ideally entire 203 c55/ 209 clk55 engine would be a better way to go?, if you have ME2.8 maybe its possible to run the C55 tune?..
Only guessing..

Info on cams from our MB guru (MarcusF on here). I haven't seen him around for some time but he did post on w202 questions from time to time.

Here is an excerpt of the Schrick cam catalog from the official web page. Page 12 at the bottom right gives info for both the L & R cams for the M113 engine.

I was under impression kleeman and schrick cams are basically the same, and are really more mean to be used on supercharged cars.
The difference between 203/209 engines is very interesting, i have seen a lot do dyno where they are very similar in max hp. The newer m113 engines have 6700 redline compared to 6000 for the older ones but they don't seem to be any faster. They both get max hp around 5500-5700 rpm. Only major diff I found was diff ratio (3.06 vs 2.82) but that is offset by 200lbs ish weight diff, hence similar 1/4 mile and trap numbers.
My goal is to find best cam profile for na m113, at some point I'm looking to open up the intake manifold and Throttle body to get more hp at higher rpm and use cams to help with that. Might have to go custom but hope I don't, already spending more $$$ on car than I should

To add to my previous posts, older 113 engines are a lot more powerful than 342 hp rating. Right now I have renntech airbox + kleeman headers and I'm putting down same hp as e92 m3 ( they are rated around 420 ) on same dyno. I also see a lot of them around track and always feel I'm slightly faster on straight. Trans is currently my weakest link. To help with that I decided to install newer 722.6 trans from 2005 s55. At some point I will get same tune from slr/dtm. Thanks to Fabian for help with this

Yes it's w208 clk55 I have dyno tune by Eurocharges, put down good numbers but we couldn't turn off ESP it kept interfering with run. Still though guy mentioned car was putting down similar numbers to e92 m3. Not surprised since I see them a lot on track and get sense I'm around that hp range.
These cars have a very restrictive exhaust, after installing Kleemann headers + Kleemann tune I felt a big difference. Even when I modified it to quad exhaust it started to pull harder.

I've always read and seen what a w210 E55 can do with the same engine and have always been so blown away. How the hell does such a heavy sedan put down such amazing numbers with only 354 hp and 396 ft lbs of torque? it shouldn't be possible, especially with a rear diff ratio of 2.82
