Wheel Weight Chart
pretty sure this is already online here but.
Thinking about going lightweight:
rfp1
18x8 +35 73 bore (18lbs)
18x9 +35 66.5 bore (18.4 lbs)
or even
17x7.5 +48 73 bore (15.25lbs) on all corners
versus
AMG Monoblock Cast 17x7.5 (27.5lbs)
AMG Monoblock Cast 17x8.5 (28lbs)
Has anyone put these on their car? I was thinking I could use spacers on the 17s to get the look I want but I'm also wondering if the spacers would effect performance.
If I go this route, I have some 18s off an e55 for sale, they need to be stripped and powdered though.

wheel weight plays a huge difference! not just removing mass, but removing rotating mass. I've decreased weight on my mercedes and you can feel it and I also have increased wheel weight on my subaru (damn, heavy 1552s) and you can definitely feel it!
Spacers won't affect much, I've run every size of spacer from 3mm to 20mm and never noticed any difference.

Very interested in this topic. My w124 wagon drives a 100% better with the 13lb clk wheels.
I have a new to me 95 C36 that is in need of a new set of wheels and am trying to figure out what is the best way to go in terms of performance/sizing/weight. I have searched around and do not see many people mention using a square set of wheels on the w202. Is there any reason other than the rear can fit more tire?
Any suggestions would be great.

I am just looking around for the cheapest price right now. I found $220/wheel no tax no shipping. It would be nice if I could get a tire package too. This is the street replica of the rim MB uses in F1 racing, so I think its a good choice. (same manufacturer, I guess not everything is from Germany lol)

8.5 can be a pain to work with but not so bad on 17". 225 can look alittle stretched and sometimes the 235 can be a larger or smaller rolling diameter over stock. 8" front et35 ,9" ~et30 - 38 rear is very good for the 202.

nice find, i def like those that you can even get the right bore and offset. very sweet.
pagz told me to run the wobble bolts and it will open a lot more options too. im more of a fan of the spacers myself

The Team dynamics look really good for the price vs fitment vs weight ,there is someone running these on a C43 I believe!. Find out what they weigh though as 18lbs is good for 18", not so much for 17".
Yea wobble bolts are not ideal, but if you wanted rpf1 in 17x8/9 then its probably only option!..unfortunately they don't make security wobble bolts either

The 17" wheels are listed at 17.3 lbs.
I believe the local set has a bigger hub on them so I would need to get a set of rings.

Sorry I missed the weights they are all in details. Looking through there not all that light with 17x8 being 19.8lbs, 17x8 RPF1 is ~16.1lbs that's a really big difference!.
The BBS RE and DTM set I have are 18x8 18x9/18x8.2 18.9.2 and both weigh close to 21 - 21.5lbs ( in comparison to the RPF1's ~18lbs and Team dynamics 24.2lbs!!
The 18x8.5 et36 BBS REMg is 16.25lbs
rpf1 ftw

I have 17x8.5 40 offset rpf1s for my Mitsu yet to put them on.I have never seen RPF1s on a German
car. Is there a nice 18" light weight rim that does not break the bank that I can put on my C43. I'd
love to sell the present 18" monos I have on it now.did not realize how darn heavy these things
were.

Yea isn't the mb code description "amg light alloy wheels" ?
Enkie now make the rpf1 in 18x8 18x9 5x112 et35, would work perfect on the C43. The front dish leaves a little to be desired but tough getting a better weight saving vs cost.
